For the price, this is an excellent coffee grinder. As noted, it is a bit noisy, but that doesn't bother me at all. It does a good job of letting you select the level of grind you wish. For me, it is primarily for espresso, and it grinds finally enough to do a good job. The more course setting is also just right for French press coffee. I've had other grinders that cost more, but didn't work any better, and didn't last very long before giving up the ghost. I suspect this one will do the job for a long time to come, given his quality of construction and the Cuisinart reputation.

This little coffee grinder is very reliable, simple to use, and gets the job done. It's easy to grind coarse or fine just by simply changing how long you hold down the button. Cleaning it quite easy as well since the grinds come out without much effort. The grinder is small enough to be tucked away in a cabinet when not in use. I would definitely recommend this.

Compact, inexpensive and works great. The instructions are a must to follow to get the grind you are looking for. Medium grind: run grind for 20 seconds. When complete, this will be the right amount of coffee to brew 5 cups in the Cuisinart 5 cup coffee maker.

The new appliance replaced an older Cuisinart grinder that stopped working after several years of near once-a-day use. This unit is smaller than the previous one, which was already smaller than the one before. It's great to see these appliances become more compact while still performing well, and perhaps better and more longer lasting than older models. I'm fully expect this unit to have a long life.

Have had this coffee bean grinder about one week and so far is a great accessory. I really enjoy have freshly ground coffee for my morning coffee. Just want to add that I have had another Cuisinart appliance that has been very excellent in performance and is still working after 24 years.

Great grinder. Cost effective and worth the purchase. This simple grinder is easy to use, grinds coffee to perfection and offers an even a simpler clean up. There are no burrs to clean or get jammed up. Just pour in the beans and create grinds you can use for an espresso machine, French press or drip coffee maker.

Grinder works very well! For a simple-to-use, starter grinder, wouldn't recommend any other! Only improvement would be a self-measuring system to get the perfect amount of beans per carafe. Easy to clean, easy to operate and set aside. The cord is not so easy to stow away, but that was not my primary reason for purchasing. Would buy again if this one were ever to fail.

After ordering - and returning - an expensive coffee bean grinder, we purchased the Cuisinart. It fits perfectly with our needs. I'm able to get the grind level we like for brewing. The grinder itself is easy to use and clean. The only item keeping it from a 5-star review is that it is a little messy when transferring from grinder cup to coffee pot or storage container. You have to grind a smaller amount for the ground coffee to stay within the cup provided.

After using for less than 2 months we have noticed it doesn't grind as fine as it used to. Also, the cord does NOT tuck away into the base area, as it claims on the box.

With a Cuisinart coffee maker and toaster that are exceptional and long-lasting, I was excited to find a Cuisinart coffee grinder and at a reasonable price. The coffee grinder DOES feel solid and well-made. Turns out the capacity for the beans isn't enough to brew even 8 of the 12-cup capacity of the coffee maker. The grinder basket is too deep to easily clean and cannot be detached from the base for cleaning. The lid comes off too easily so spilling coffee grounds unintentionally is a reality.
