This is my second Proctor Silex mini food chopper. We had the last one for years. It still works. I broke the canister dropping it. Would highly recommend. Such a time saver. So much easier to clean than our large food processor. It is my go-to kitchen appliance.
This is the 2nd time I purchased one. .y original one is about 10 years old %26 z piece cracked off the bottom. I used it to chop quite a few vegetables, onions - parsley. it definitely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend buying this product.
I love my mini processor. The only reason I bought this is because I love it so much I had it break and die out after over ten years and this is the exact same make and model as a replacement. That's how much I would recommend this. I like to use mine for pesto and crushing fresh garlic.
It does the job even though I don't like my vegetables chopped that fine. So far it has worked fine. I only will fill the canster about 1/3 to 1/2 full before chopping, trying not to have extrememly fine chopped vegetables. It is small and doesn't take up much counter space. It is easy to use, simple to clean, etc.
This is a great little processor, especially if you need to puree food. Remember, though, not to tap your spoon or spatula on the edge of the clear plastic tub, which can chip. Tap your spoon instead on the motor housing and you'll have no problem.
Love the way it works but I'm not sure if the plastic lead will hold up. It operates great and the perfect size for chopping the onion and peppers for home made Salsa.
This little monster works great! It is the perfect food processor. I wanted a very small one to use to make pesto and gravies for my family of 3-4 and this is just right, Goldilocks! And I love that it is powerful, the blade and insert are all-in-one. (In my previous food processor, the parts had to be fit together), and it's small enough to share a little cabinet with my toaster. It's worth the $15. bucks if you are looking for small and tough!
I bought this food chopper for my apartment. It is about 7in long and 5in tall so it fits perfectly into my limited cabinet space! I've used it to make personal smoothies, chop onions and plan to make falafel sometime next week. I've had it for a month and so far it's worked like a charm. It is my favorite little contraption is because it is so easy to clean! The blade, and bowl both pop off so there is not worry of having to reach into crevices, like in some blenders I've used in the past. It is ideal for those who are only cooking for 1 or 2 people and are concerned with portion size!
Handy appliance for short-term use. Difficult to maneuver if you have weak or arthritic hands and fingers, mostly getting the bowl to set in and begin to turn to chop/grind. Plastic bowl developed a crack but lasted 13 months. I ordered another one. Blade rod that has a small hole is difficult to keep clean, wash and rinse immediately after use, visualize, occasionally soak in dish detergent and scrub with small brush.
This unit has no power button. You have to continuously twist the lid to get the power to stay on. I bought this unit for my mom and she is unable to do that with her hands.
