Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Cookware 8'' Skillet

It's a small stainless steel skillet and it does what it's supposed to do—namely, frying 1-3 eggs for breakfast. With enough oil and a high enough temperature it's almost non-stick, but I always get patches of proteins that just stuck on the pan and that needs some soaking to scrub away later. Naturally, it's not as convenient to use as those Teflon-coated nonstick pans, but I am willing to spend more time on cleaning for peace of mind and health. My only qualm is that the vendor didn't sell the product with lids, which means that we have to deal with the oil splattering and spend time cleaning the stove afterwards…

My first notice was the quality. This review may be early, but so far I have used once. Heated evenly and cleaned easily. The handle is smooth and attached sturdy. The stainless shine looks high quality. I am giving up on coated stick free cookware, no matter how it looks and cooks, after 6 months it's ready to trash! I like the fact that this one should retain safety when cooking! I was not aware it ‘s not Solid stainless steel, but just as long as it keeps the layered steel coating, I am Satisfied!

If you want a heavy duty skillet this is the one. I rarely give a five star review, it is not non-stick that means you will not get ill from cooking on this skillet.

The pro's you don't have to worry about ingesting any chemical coatings that come off over time. Cons it takes about 10 minutes to get stainless steel hot enough to cook on otherwise everything will stick to the pan. Research on how to cook with stainless steel before you start cooking with it.

If you're cooking eggs with a stainless steel pan, use lots of oil, heated to its smoke point. So said some recommendations from the web, and they worked for me. Anything less, and the eggs will stick to the pan, making it a pain to clean. I bought this to replace a GreenPan ceramic non-stick 8in, because those aren't necessarily as reduced-risk as we're led to believe.

The inside was smaller than I expected. It is 8” from rim to rim. It fits one piece of bread (for grilled cheese) or 2 fried eggs. Stainless steel has to be sufficiently hot and greased before putting food in to not stick. I love that it can go in the dishwasher. Would buy again. Would also buy in larger size.

I was looking for a nice frying pan that i could make scrambled eggs in for a member of my family. I was getting awayvfrom nonstick because of all the chemicals in them, ceramic was too expensive and wiuld eventually need to be replaced if chipped. That is why i went for stainless steel. It cleans like a breeze, cooks evenly.I love it. The pan i use every day❤️

Food sticks to pan even after preheating asper instructions. Stains inside of pan aftercooking.l use baking soda %26 vinegar and leave over night in order to remove stain inside bottom of.Too much work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 8" skillet that I purchased worked perfectly for the first couple of times. Eggs would just slide around in the pan. After that everything started sticking! I read and followed directions perfectly. I have gone back to using my old skillet, as I am not satisfied with this new one

I wanted a small skillet to add to my kitchen. I read mixed reviews, but also know many don't know how to properly cook in this type of pan. However, I was not impressed at all with this pan for basic cooking. Everything stuck despite proper heating and oil. I will be returning. Not worth the price or the space in my cupboard.
