I appreciate the high polish of this stainless steel interior …..and the handles are very convenient as they don't stick out as a single handle does, also makes it easier to pick up and move off the stove. I think it is well worth the price for the quality of the pan.
The Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 12" Everyday Pan with Medium Dome Cover is a must have pan in your cooking aresenal. It is perfect for slow roasting meats that start on the stove top and finish slow cooking in the oven.
Definitely 5 stars for looks alone. Using it today to take the table with skillet Spanakopita. Love that I can use it both on top of the stove and in the oven. It's sturdy (love the two handles) but not crazy heavy that I can't manage it. Great value, too.
Great quality pan from Cuisinart. It's aluminum clad in stainless steel, which is a personal preference for heat conductivity and longevity. The size is just right as stated in the description. The domed lid is great for allow things to Blake or braise, especially in the oven. It's simple to clean and the handles make it easier to use and fit in the oven. I wish this pan came in several size because I could use 10” and 8” version as well.
Practically all of my cookware, bakeware and small kitchen appliances are from Cuisinart. I absolutely love the French collection. This dome cover pan is just the right size to bake eggs and other brunch dishes for my family on the weekend. In fact, I am going to use it right now to bake one of my favorite things which Chef John calls "sexy eggs" served with perfectly toasted garlic bread... oohh la la!
I love this pan! I can cook a 3-lb bag of frozen chicken breasts in it, one pan meals as well as quesadillas to mention a few. If you're not used to cooking with stainless, do some research—I did and have found this pan to be very easy clean up. Wish I'd bought this sooner!
I love Cuisinart! I have three Cuisinart pots and recently bought the everyday pan with dome lid. And I use it every day! I cook anything and everything in it. It is the perfect size and depth. It cleans easily and well ( as do the other Cuisinart pots I own). This pot is a great puschase; high quality and well worth the price.
I bought the Chef's Classic pan to do a head to head test against Hexclad & Ninja Neverstick. I am buying new cookware for Short Term Vacation Rentals and they need to hold up to heavy use and quickly/easily look good for next guests . My favorite pans of alltime in this category of cookware are Belgique (no longer available). While the Cruisinart price point was really good, seemed a little less "solid" than the Belgique. But definitely a decent pan. In the head-to-head - the Hexclad won hands down. Not quite a fair comparison as Hexclad is a hybrid pan and twice the cost. Ended up purchasing the Ninja Neverstick for STR in Hawaii as shipping for Hexclad was too much. Did purchase Hexclad for our personal use. But would consider Cruisinart in the future as it is well priced cookware if Hexclad & Ninja Neverstick don't stand the test of time & use. My grandson just got his 1st apartment. He is going to love the Cruisinart Chef Pan!
This pan was not what I expected when I took it out of the box. Very thin metal. It cooks ok. I am using it on a gas stove so the heating is kinda uneven. For the price I paid I give it 3 stars.
I am very disappointed in the Classic Stainless cookware set and additional pieces that I bought. I read the instructions before use as I heard that cooking in stainless cookware is different than other cookware. The first time I used the the inside of the sauce pans got black spots (from boiling potatoes in water) that will not come out. The frying pan has a spot on the inside of burned on grease that will not come out, even after trying all of the recommendations on the Cuisinart website for cleaning and use. I wish I never bought the set and now I an stuck with them due to cost.
