Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Steel 5.5-Quart Multi-Purpose Pot

Perfect pan for soups and sauces.

I needed something bigger than a 3 quart pan to cook spaghetti without breaking the pasta. My 8 quart pot was way too big. This pot is perfect and I found that I have used it for many more cooking needs. We only purchase Cuisinart pots and pans.

Be sure you understand how to put the lid on the Carafe'. It pours easier to fill the water reservoir with the lid on! There were some other reviews that didn't understand this but we do and it works.

I ruined the same pot I have had for years! Forgot to turn the burner down and fell asleep. woke up to burning chicken smoke! I was so angry. tried to clean it but it wouldn't do. Looked at WalMart on line and found a new one. Great price too! I am happy again.

I have a large family! We have Family Sunday Dinner EVERY Sunday! We LOVE Soup! I wanted something nice enough to place on our dinner table to serve our soup and needed something big enough to to hold the large quantity of soup I always make. BONUS — I can even prepare the soup in this pan, stovetop or oven, so I don't have to clean an additional pot!

I already had a pan exactly like the new one I bought. I like my old one so much I wanted another one. It's a great pan and cleans really well in the dishwasher. I use it on top of the stove and in the oven. I highly recommend it. I have had lots of pans in my life and this is my favorite.

I call this a pot because of the depth. I find myself reaching for it all of the time. Does a great job for soups and stews. It is lightweight which makes it easy to handle but the sturdiness of stainless steel gives it durability. The high gloss finish gives it a decorative touch against the stainless étagère. A great buy!

Love these, but concerned! I love the size and shape and how they cook. They clean up very well, no sticking.....but the bottom of my pans are getting these black specs on and they don't come off. I'm not sure what is wrong. I would love if someone would reach out to me regarding these marks. Other than that, I would love a full set of these type of pans. This was my first purchase of Cuisinart pans.

I absolutely love the size of this pan and Cuisinart has been a reputable brand in the past. I bought this pan specifically to boil bagels in prior to baking. However, the first time I used it, I noticed, what looked to be a small pit on the inside bottom of the pan. I didn't think much of it at the time, but more pits materialized after I used it the 2nd and 3rd times over a period of months until at this time, I don't use it anymore (after using it 4 or 5 times). I contacted the sellers and they replied back, "I am sorry hear that , but your product has been over 30 days return periods. Sorry again!" I have owned and still have Cuisinart pans and other products, but I have never had one of these pans pit inside, OR on the outside for that matter. I think that these pans are inferior, or their not the true Cuisinart brand. Anyway, this is my reason for 2 stars even though in all actuality, one star is very sufficient in my opinion due to the feedback or lack thereof from the sellers. Yes, it was over 30 days, but I have since noticed that other commenters have had the same problem, and I was hoping for more concern from the seller. I would not purchase this pan again.

I have purchased this pot twice, thinking I had ruined the first one cooking but to my surprise after cooking one time with the second one purchased the bottom of the pot had a bunch of black pitted spots. (Same as first pot)...Very disappointed in the quality. I will not purchase any products from this brand again.
