Lodge Logic 9" Cast Iron Mini Wok with double loop handles, L9MW

This is a very nice wok; it is LARGE and heavy.... so be sure to take that into account. I also purchased the cast iron trivet made by Lodge that is about 8 inches around. I put it in the bottom of the wok and it gives a very large cooking area for baking chicken--or even a turkey---and with the cast iron trivet in the bottom of the wok, the juices flow into the bottom of the wok and not on the food. The extra height using the trivet also allows hot air to circulate under the food for more even cooking. I would HIGHLY recommend this item.... I've used woks costing 4-5 times the price and this is the BEST!!!

This cast iron wok functions to my expectations. It's really nice that it pre-seasoned. It conduct heat and stay hot for a good long while. I've used it 20x now and I don't see any rusting. It's heavy but having two small handles on either side makes it nice to work with and fits better on the range. I can also hang it on a wall hook rather than having it sit on a shelf with a long handle taking up precious space.

Lodge is one of my favorite cast iron pans. This Lodge Wok is no exception. It is heavy, but that is to be expected with a large cast iron pan. I love how hot you can get this wok, so make stir frying a breeze! It comes preseasoned, take care of it and it will last a lifetime like other Lodge pans

Quality Heavy Cast Iron Wok. Came 'pre seasoned' but I used the first time heating it as an opportunity to build on that initial coating. It arrived gray and is now the typical black cast iron color. I found a different source for asian constructed iron woks that were around 20 dollars plus freight. The woks can be flexed with bare hands and are known for uneven heat and breakage. With the free shipping, this one was a comparable prices for easily 5 times factor quality increase. Buy it once and have an heirloom for your great grandkids. I have several hundred pounds of antique collectable and still very functional -brand name- cast iron cookware that I use regularly. This is just as good or in some cases better than those. Better because Griswold or Wagner did not make a Wok. Dutch ovens, bean pots, Frying pans, pot roasters, chicken friers, griddles, Waffle irons yes, but not woks :)

Well, I've had my new wok for about a week-and-a-half, and used it about half a dozen times. So far it's been wonderful. Naturally it's a bit heavy, which is a good thing if you like your wok to stay stationary, but not so much if you're given to moving the pan around as you stir or serve up its contents. Along with being heavy, it's just large, and when use on an electric (coil) stove top (which I have) the two factors do combine to make for a significant temperature difference as you move from the center of the wok. (I'm not sure if other stove tops work the same way or not.) Naturally it takes the slight additional care that's goes with iron cookware. It is pre-seasoned and ready to use, but of course doesn't yet have the full seasoning that comes with years of proper use and care. I went into this purchase knowing all these factors, and so there were no surprises. And I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

If you need a high quality wok, buy this one! Cast iron heats more evenly than carbon steel, it is preseasoned and is ready to cook straight out of the box, super large size 14" so you can cook up a nice meal for a family, and best of all it is made in the USA by Lodge cookware! Cast iron is what our parents and grandparents used to make family meals, and it is surprisingly easy to clean and maintain.

Little heavy to handle, but that makes it quite rugged and even heating on the induction cook top. I put a piece of parchment between the wok and the glass cook top to keep it from scratching, but it doesn't burn because the pan never gets much above 400 degrees F. I can measure the temperature with my infrared thermometer I got from Radio Shack. I'd like to find a 14" lid to keep the heat in as I cook. I also seek a wok stirer or spatula - I'll check out a Chinese cooking supply store.

I loved this wok or ladai .They are perfect for Indian cooking as I do Lot of deep frying and cooking .It works well .Great heat distribution and very sturdy on Stove. My favorite

Love this pan! If you're in need of a smaller wok-style pan this one is great! It's perfect for smaller quantities and I like the size for camping. Just don't grab the handles without mitts…hot!

Wok arrived with rough texture on inside and, even though it was preseasoned, and I added 3 more layers of seasoning, the stir fry still stuck. I plan to sand it down and apply 4 layers of seasoning. The weight of the wok is appropriate. Be sure and purchase the silicone handle covers so you can manage it better on the burner.
