Lodge Cast Iron Logic 5" Square Wonder Skillet, L5WS3

I received my little lodger as stated and on time. Love the size and just the right of leverage to warm, cook and yeah bake little things. I use it to alleviate using larger skillet when only warming leftovers. I love, love my little lodger skillet and use it now more than my larger lodgers. Cornbread,eggs, even put a couple of frozen biscuits on it and very good. Actually the square style was what really made me want it.

I actually use this very small square cast iron pan, a lot. For two people, it comes in very handy. It's also a very fun pan. It will accommodate two frozen biscuits. For example Great Value frozen biscuits, 2 will fit. It will fry an egg or two, scramble eggs, sausages, etc. Great for frying those little sausage links. I've made small batch of biscuit dough and spread in the pan, comes out of the oven high rise square and cut into two or four servings. I have a little trivet by my stove and his pan sits there often when not in use.

Lodge cast iron products are the best! This small frying pan is perfect for a fried egg or grilled cheese. Comes already seasoned so you can use immediately. Plus all Lodge pans are made in the USA.

It is a nice cast iron skillet. The skillet is a bit smaller than I hoped.

Bought this just out of curiosity, but I really like it. Have used for cookies, cinnamon bun, eggs and biscuits. Perfect size for one serving meals.

In case anyone wonders, this is the correct size for grilled cheese made with most packaged bread slices. I bought it specifically for my oldest to cook his eggs for egg sandwiches, but he will use it for many other things, as well. It's Lodge so you can assume the quality. The cooking surface isn't as smooth as an old Griswold, and the icky-tasting, mysterious, Lodge factory “seasoning” needs to be cooked off and a real seasoning started, but this is American made and you know what you're getting. As with a lot of smaller Lodge pieces, mold seams are more obvious on edges; if it bothers you, grind it down. If your Lodge cast iron rusts with use and care, that's user error and not the fault of the maker. ;) Enjoy!

I have used it to fry eggs. The seasoning was good. The eggs didn't stick.
