I use cast iron skillets most of the time. I have used the quilted handle holders with success but mine ended up getting scorched. Go figure. These stay on the skillets and manage the heat quite nicely

Can't really use the pan without this holder!

I cook mostly using my old fashioned iron skillets. These little handle holders are perfect for my two smaller skillets - I purchase two of them. I'd guess the skillet diameters are about 5 and 7 inches. It was hard to find this size holders and the price seemed a bit high, but they are worth it. They fit securely and are easy to grasp and protect my hands from the heat. On amazon they were only available in a set with other stuff I didn't need so I was glad to find these. I would recommend them.

Although not an 'exact' fit for my 8" frying pan, this hot handle holder fits decently enough and really helps keep me from burning my hands from touching the hot handle of cast iron...something I seemed to need to relearn at least once every few years.

Fits well and is of good quality

I bought these for some of the miniature lodge cast iron pans that require the 3" handle -- these are advertised as 3", but when they arrived, they are 4/14" -- if you read the description, it gives this measure. What a hassle and disappointment now to have to return them all.

Too small and thin material. Did not stretch and fit the whole griddle handle and very thin material. Returned it.

does not work. heat went right thru this, and still wasnt able to pick up pan without potholder

Disappointed that this product is not effective. Handle still extremely hot.
