[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Durable construction, beautiful shining stainless steel, fast and even from the aluminum core. I've had this chef's pan for several years now and it has served me well. It is as good as or better than commercial kitchen quality, and the price on these Cuisinart pans is an amazing value. I highly recommend. This pan will cook well and last you for years to come.
I feel like a pro chef when I use the 3 quart stainless steel chef's pan with stainless steel lid. I bought it to replace my smaller saucepan that got its nonstick ruined and I'm glad I did. The stainless steel is beautiful and durable while the aluminum core base heats up quickly. None of that Nasty Teflon coating for this cook anymore.
High sided frying pan, sauce pan, etc… I use it for small meals and is the newest in my collection of Cuisinart pots and pans.
I absolutely love this pan, which is surprising to me. I have been a non-stick pan user for many years. The only time I tried using a stainless steel pan, the food stuck so badly that I rarely used it. I am trying to get away from pans with non-stick coating due to the toxicity. Even so, I was hesitant about purchasing this pan, but after using it for the past couple of months, I am completely in love with it. I use it for everything I can. It is a solid, well constructed piece of cookware. If I am cooking something that tends to stick, prior to cleaning, I just run hot water in the pan for a few seconds, and all food comes right off. I can say enough good things or recommend this pan highly enough.
this pan is the right size for preparing food for any meal. it is a lot like a wok, but with a flat thick bottom. I have used it for cooking steaks, omelets, meatballs, and stir fry (the high curved sides make it child-play to mix veggies with one hand), fried chicken, etc. easy to clean up. high-quality pan and has an impressive shine. comes with a fitted matching lid. I am a cast iron guy, but I would be lying if I said I didn't find myself reaching for this pan as a first choice.
Cuisinart has a number of very good kitchen cookware and accessories. My kitchen is full of different pieces of Cuisinart cookware. Love them all.
I brought this a month ago and i really love it. The size is so perfect for me and the quality is great.
I just love this pan! Easy to clean and made of stainless steel. What's not to like? Plus it's gorgeous!
Great chef's pan, bought it to use with my induction burner and it worked out perfectly, good heat conduction, easy to clean and a great all round pan.
Would not recommend. Great size, weight, balance, but it's not stainless steel and will pit. I used it one time for maybe 15 mins. on med-low heat to make an ice cream base. When I cleaned it afterwards I saw little black spots in the bottom of the pan that weren't there before. They looked like small flecks of vanilla bean, but the only problem was I didn't use any vanilla bean, and the bottom of the pan was brand-new, shiny and spotless when I started. I had read a couple of other comments citing this same issue before I bought it but decided to try it anyway. if a pot doesn't say 18/8 (?) stainless steel on the bottom of it then don't buy it because it won't last. Kind of sad because I have had good experiences with Cuisinart in the past and was pretty hyped about this one.
