Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus 3-Cup Food Chopper, Brushed Chrome

Before my purchase, I did quite a bit of research on small food processors. The one I chose wasn't worth it at all. So now, I'm the proud owner of two extremely sharp rotating blade but nothing to power them. Booo! My second choice should have been my first choice. I decided to trust the name Cuisenart; paying more was difficult with my limited budget, but it certainly was better than risking more money for another lemon appliance. So, I bought it. One of my wiser decisions! It's easy and safe to use, and does an excellent job of chopping— in either larger or smaller size chunks. The reverse setting uses both edges of the blades…. Clever! This little gizmo is perfect for my uses and my small space. In the end, my second choice was much better than the first. Happy Chopping!!

I absolutely love my little red mini prep plus food processor. I use it to make hummus and Guacamole so far. *There are instructions for cutting hard cheeses such as Romano, Asiago and Parmesan. Prepping onions and garlic was very easy and fast. The blade is sharp and does a very good job of cutting garlic. The size is perfect for my needs. It came well packaged and secure from drops and bumps. The manual is very easy to read and includes tips, recipes, cleaning, maintenance and trouble shooting information as well as operating techniques. Recipes include lemon butter, pesto, basic vinaigrette, tapenade, guacamole, mini cheesecakes and many more. There is minimal sound for a small processor as compared to much larger ones. You mainly pulse which require short burst of processing and sound. Grinding requires the same action and should not be pulsed longer than one minute or damage will be caused. **If you are heavy handed this processor may not be for you. You may need to pay more for what you are looking for. I read a lot of reviews before making my decision as what would be best for my needs. The Cuisinart instruction booklet covers everything for the mini-prep plus. This has saved me time and I love using it. It's going to be my personal sous chef in the kitchen. The color is a beautiful metallic red. There is no top-hole for pouring and clean up was easy by rinsing off and soaking work bowl for hand wash or top dishwasher safe. **BPA free Small plastic spatula included for side scraping should be put in cutlery basket for washing. Looks more like a white plastic knife. I prefer hand washing to keep the plastic work bowl and top from dulling in dishwasher. *Read instructions even if you think you know everything. *18 month warranty and you can register online at Cuisinart. com. If you fill the mini-prep plus half full there are no spills or blowback as a reviewer suggested on one sight happened to her. Just follow the booklets instructions and you will enjoy and use for a long time. I'm used to good quality from Cuisinart, but expected this little processor to struggle. It had oomph that pleasantly surprised. I've used it for chopping nuts and seeds, mincing veggies and have made hummus in it. The bi-directional spin came in handy. Not only is each side of the blades better suited for different tasks, but occasionally reversing the blade can help keep things in the bowl chopping and not bogged down which would be bad for the motor. Just note the capacity as it's not suitable for bigger tasks and hold down the lid if you've got sloshable contents in the bowl as it can splash up to the seam and leak. Great little processor for smaller tasks though.

This is my replacement processor. I love it! It fits perfectly on my countertop, the colour is bright and I have 2 options (chop & grind). My husband knew this is my go brand so he just went ahead and bought me a new one. He knew how I missed the first one when we were moving from NY to GA and the moving company broke it in the process of relocating.

Love this mini-food processor! It is perfect to make pesto and to chop cabbage for slaw. I love the small size so that I don't have to drag my large food processor out every time I want to chop or grind something up. I can leave it on my countertop without taking up much space. Highly recommend!

The chop function works well with onions and herbs and the grind function works well with nuts and hard spices.

I chose a Cuisinart food processor mainly for its good value. I am a loyal customer of Cuisinart products because they last. The smaller food processor fit my budget and met my needs. It's compact and useful for small portions; the plastic lid seems delicate, so I am extra careful while using, cleaning, and storing it.

I have had a professional type one and it’s getting too heavy for me to handle also now we are just two of us in our place. Downsizing to Mini was great thing I have done. Also love the color matches perfect with my hand mixer in my kitchen.

This is my third mini prep. I used it every single day sometimes twice and the last one lasted over 3 years.The small size me ake it perfect for guacamole or pesto.
