Great Entry-Level Gaming PC in 2026

Cheng March 28, 2026

I’m really glad I found this PC! I was simply looking for a solid first desktop for my child. I didn’t need top-tier specs—just something reliable to get them started with room for future upgrades. However, I had no idea that finding a decent entry-level gaming PC in 2026 would be this difficult. A few years ago, you could easily find something in this category for around $700–$800. But with the current market, mid-range systems have basically disappeared. Those $700–$800 builds at places like Micro Center are either discontinued or constantly out of stock. Even on Newegg, filtering for RTX 4060 systems often leads to 'out of stock' listings, while newer RTX 5060 builds typically start at $900—and somehow still come with DDR4 or a tiny 500GB SSD. After refreshing different sites daily and even considering refurbished units, this machine suddenly appeared. It makes a slight compromise on the CPU, but offering a 5060 GPU and DDR5 is more than acceptable. What really stood out is the model number ending in “V2.” It has nearly identical specs to another popular item on Walmart but is priced $300 lower. That difference alone covers a good monitor or a gaming chair. I placed my order on March 25th when the page showed “50 people have this in their cart.” By March 26th, it changed to “100 bought since yesterday.” It’s clear that many people—just like me—didn't hesitate once they saw the deal. The machine just arrived, and it boots up and runs perfectly. I’m hoping the long-term stability lives up to expectations, as this should last my kid for quite a while. *** Note: Just noticed a $300 price jump before posting. My review is based on the $799 purchase — it’s a great deal at that price, but at over $1,000, I’d likely look for a stronger CPU and 32GB of RAM.

Impressed with this prebuilt Ryzen 5 8400f 5060rtx

Jim April 7, 2026

I personally prefere to build my own computers, but at this time hard drives and ram are the highest cost of a build, so after pricing a cheap build by individual parts and then looking at this build, it was a no brainer, to save money, I decided to go with this cyberpower ryzen 5 8400f with a rtx 5060 and 16gb ddr5 ram. The packaging was as expected. The only thing I had to do after taking it out of the box and inspect the PC tower was plug in the GPU power plug and place the CPU cooler fan on the cooler fin/radiator as it had fell off or was left off intentionally despite being in the tower just laying about. I was not expecting the fans to be RGB and they work perfectly. I actually was impressed with the midtower case as the glass side is magnetic and is a swing door. Genius. The cables are cleanly placed and not all over, looks great. I would buy another cyberpower without hesitation. This is my first prebuilt buy since 2001. Thats how long I been doing my own builds and I may not build again if prebuilts like this are this good and cost effective. The mobo didn't have the latest firmware, so I did update it. I had initial issues of the ram xmp profile reset and wouldn't take the change to go back to the 6400mhz it was originally set on and that is the ram speed it came with. Eventually the change did save and its running at 6400mhz perfectly fine now. It is just one stick of ram of 16gb, but I have not noticed any issues while gaming as that is the purpose of this buy to be a gaming PC. Temps are super low, better than my water cooled PC and this is air cooled. It does come with windows 11 and this was my first encounter with win 11. Took a couple hours to remove the normal bloatware from windows and do updates, but since it came with windows 11, I left it on there, this may change as windows 10 is much better. In regards to gaming, this thing has handled everything I have thrown at it and I play a variety of games and genres. It is whisper quiet even when gaming you cant hear anything. My build did come with a mobo that has wifi built into it but I dont use that. I use a USB wifi adapter, so I cannot speak to the wifi ability. I was concerned with just the 1 stick of ram and a small 2 fan rtx 5060 GPU, but as I mentioned, gaming is phenomenal and temps are better than my water cooled personal build. Absolutely great buy. Got this for $799 at the time. Highly recommend in todays high prices for PC parts.

Pretty good mid-high prebuilt

Xylar April 4, 2026

When it came I was nervous maybe something got unplugged in shipping. Nothing was I turned it on signed in n it worked exact specs as it says in the title of the pc also has some really fast download speed, one thing I would say is the 5060 only has 8gb of vram n it only has a single stick of 16gb ddr5 which isn’t bad but I would upgrade to 2 sticks. Overall I would say this pc is good for what I paid I get over 90 fps on every game I’ve played on ultra high settings

NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Toni June 7, 2026

First I bought a STGAubron for 600 dollars lasted 35 days, so I decided to buy another brand CyberPowerPC for over a thousand dollars on June 2 it was delivered, I unboxed it set it all up connected to internet did the Microsoft set up all went well, here I am on June 8th writing a review, computer was doing fine then out of nowhere black screen of death, hard turn off waited a few minutes and turn it back on and a few minutes later black screen of death again, turned it off next day turned it back on after a few minutes computer turned off by it self can I PLEASE GET A FRICKING COMPUTER THAT WORKS FOR A LITTLE WHILE. Do I have to put a computer together myself so it will work for more then two months? Using my old 12 year old windows 10 computer to write this review. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
