Great sealant and easy to use.
I'm replacing the south facing windows in my house and needed some caulk to seal them with. I had replaced the north facing windows years ago and used Alex Plus caulk, which while easy to apply and cleanup didn't hold up in the long run. It cracked and shrunk. Dynaflex Ultra goes on just as easy and is also easy to cleanup, but unlike silicone can be painted and also remains flexible after curing unlike the Alex Plus. I live in Colorado and this stuff has been applied to south facing windows so it's going to get tested to the extreme. We have temperature swings that can approach 100F on south facing surfaces all winter long, and extreme low humidity (1% was registered on my weather station twice) in the summer. If it holds up here it will work anywhere but only time will tell. That being said I'm impressed enough that I'm sitting here writing a review on caulk so that should tell you something! I'll try and return with an update after 6-12 months to see how it holds up this winter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently we're experiencing well below zero temperatures and I'm very happy with the way Dap's Dynaflex Ultra has worked to seal those tiny cracks preventing moisture and air infiltration. It's been keeping our home warmer this winter and protecting the exterior wood around the windows and doors from the melting and freezing cycle where little drips get into the smallest places and damage the wood. It works well in lower temperatures - it was around 40 degrees when I applied it earlier this month and it's holding up well to rain, snow, sleet and wind. While I did try this as a free sample through Viewpoints, I have since purchased several more tubes at our local hardware outlet and will continue to buy this product because it gets the job done - and done well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to replace the seal on my home seams and corners very often living in a very hot climate over 100 degrees for months during summer. The Dap was easy to use and worked as I would like it to, cleaning up was easy as well. Time will tell as to the length of time it will last, I hope it has a longer life than previous products I have used. I received this product as a sample and write a review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical about how different this product could be compared to others like it, but I am glad that I tried this! There is little to no smell while it is drying unlike some other brands, and it seems like it is thicker and may not crumble the way other products do over time. The seal is strong and went on easily and smoothly. I would definitely purchase this product over and over again and maybe try it on some other things to test it out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it works as it should. tube application is smooth and didn't bind to apply the needed bead where i wanted it.
I always use dap it's number one usually but today I bought a clear call to finish up around a sink and it came out white I'm not saying I'll never use this brand again but I just wanted to inform the company
Walmart is fraudulent! I ordered two boxes (12 tubes of caulk each) and received only 2 tubes of caulk! "Customer Service" is incompetent and staffed by liars. The first rep claimed we would receive the rest of the order the next day. When we did not receive anything, another call to a supervisor (Melvin C.) stated that we were told incorrect information and that only a refund could be issued, and he outright lied that the item was still on the website at the Black Friday deal price. Not so! The customer Service is completely incompetent.
this product is loaded with air every time i try to caulk a window it shoots out an air bubble and splatters the caulk i tried different tubes and the same result one tube i used came out like cottage cheese and a clear liquid with it the tubes were just purchased never again will i use dynaflex ultra i would never recommend to anybody i have been doing doors and windows for years one of the worst caulks i have ever seen
Bought this to caulk the gaps in my LP smartside I just installed. It is supposed to be rain ready in 1 hour. I've used this product before with great results. I applied about 100 linear feet of it to my new siding and it sat for over 5 hours before a rain storm came through. Came out to look the next day and nearly all of it is washed out and the remnants are all over my new siding and the concrete surrounding the building. It's an absolute mess. Now I need to clean it all and repaint a bunch of the siding. Very disappointed.
