I love dawn soap its the only brand i will use. I always stock up so not to run out. When i get down to 3 i worry so i then buy bulk and am ok for acouple months .Best product ive ever used .I like the fact some of the money gos to the animals i think more products should do the same it makes us customers want to buy more of your product well at least thats how i feel.
This is my go to dish soap. Great value with a fair price. The bottles are squeezable which means no drips or messes to clean up, and, no clogged nozzles and messy caps to deal with. The 2 sponges are a nice addition, too. I use this for so much more than dishes. I, also, clean my sink and tub plus other things too. A refreshing, pleasant scent. Great on dissolving grease. Lasts a long time.
It cleans just fine, but I don't notice a difference between this and regular Dawn. No, the problem I have with this soap is the lingering scent of it. When I was my Yeti coffee mug, I cannot rinse the rubber seal enough to remove that scent, which ruins my next cup of coffee. I'm going back to the original Dawn.
Jan 2025 Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain: This dish soap has a very bad and strong smell. Very intense like harsh laundry soap, and hard to rinse off, too. Contradicts Dawn's advertisements where you use less water with Dawn, on the contrary, I've never used this much water to remove that intense off the smell. Not sure how Dawn's testing labs did not identify this smell as a problem. We'll go back to Dawn original.
We just finished an old bottle of Dawn and was surprised to find that the new bottles have a vastly different scent. WHY??? The new scent is horrible and overpowering and doesn't seem to rinse off well. I rinse and rinse and still that horrible smell is there. If I don't use gloves, the smell remains on my hands so I have to wash my hands with another soap to get it off. Why did you change from a pleasant mild scent to this awful scent. We have 3 big jugs of it which we will be returning. Can't even keep them in the house. Had to out them in the garage. I did a search, and found that I'm not the only one who hates the new scent. Please bring back the old scent. Until you do, I have to switch brands.
I just opened up a new bottle of this rain scent and while I love the bottle concept this rain scent is terrible. What happened to the Dawn platinum scent that I knew and loved? Now I'm sad the huge bottle I just finished that had the old scent is gone and I'm left with this new version with the yucky smell.
I am so disappointed in the new fragrance. I recently finished my supply of the original product and opened a new bottle - the new scent is nauseating to use and lingers on dishes afterwards. It smells like chemicals, and instead of getting used to the smell it feels like it's just getting worse. As a customer who has used Dawn dish soap for a long, long time, I'm sad to say I will be switching to another brand. I won't even be finishing this bottle.
The new scent is beyond nuisance, it actually hurts. The smell is so perfumed that it literally gives you a headache when you use it. I don't see how this made it through product testing. Who thought it was a good idea to replace the original scent with this? Why would you not offer this as an option instead of replacing the OG formula and forcing your customers to use this. I am not the only one affected so negatively according to other reviews. Bring back the original please and don't pull this stunt again dawn.
We can no longer use this soap. The new scent is off-putting and very strong. I can't cook in the kitchen if we're washing dishes, as the smell of the Dawn overpowers everything else. Which is awful as it's a BAD smell. Worse, this new formula doesn't rinse off. I've tried using less soap. I rinse my dishes at least twice as long as I used to, and not only do they still smell bad after they dry, but I can taste the soap in my food and drink, especially when it's on cooking vessels like pots. I have actually thrown out pasta after boiling it and tasting the Dawn soap while eating it. We are switching brands, as it's intolerable. I really loved you old formula, sad to switch after a lifetime of using Dawn.
The smell is awful. I've never had this problem with blue Dawn but this smells terrible. It's a scent that is hard to describe, but it starts almost immediately when I start washing and it's on my dishes and my brush. I used to love the smell of blue Dawn, but this is going in the trash. It might clean fine, but the smell is so bad that I can't even use it.
