I have a pellet smoker that I use regularly and needed an instant read thermometer but did not want to spend megabucks for specialty brands. Bought 2 so I would always have one handy and have not regretted the purchases. They are easy to use, turning on when you open the probe, and the temp reading is (almost) instantaneous. Even gives an accurate outdoor temp if I turn it on before opening the smoker! Would recommend it for anyone who enjoys using a smoker or outdoor grill and am giving several for gifts.

I've had other instant read thermometers and this one is the best. large digital readout easy to read. use it to check if food reheated in microwave is at correct temperature. folds and I keep it out so it's always handy when needed. I use it every day.

This is my first digital type meat thermometer and I like it a lot. It sure beats the old mechanical type by far. It's way faster and more accurate too. I checked it for accuracy by the boiling water method and also the freezing water test. It proved to be right on the money. It's digits are very easy to read and the hold feature helps too. So simple %26 easy to use, and fast. This is a nice one plus really price

It really does provide an instant reading. (In about one second.). Out of five, this is the best thermometer I have now! Maybe the best one I've ever had.

it's really great you stick it in the meat and it has a light you could just push the button and it shows the temperature rising up it's really a great investment and for a great price

Out of the box the first thing I noticed is the magnetic is weak. It may be because of the labeling on the back.

this is the style I wanted but its hard to read because the numbers don't all light up as they should.

i used this on a 6 pound roasting chicken. after cooking my chicken in the oven for 2 %26 1/2 hours I checked it in the largest part of chicken snd the meat thermometer showed temperature that vhicken was done. Chicken had blood oozing out of bottom of carcass. i don't trust this thermometer and won't be using it again.
