Extra-fine sugar is beneficial when you are trying to dissolve it in cold drinks, such as iced tea. Have you ever ordered iced tea at a restaurant, only to discover they don't offer sweetened tea? You find yourself trying to dissolve regular sugar in a glass of tea and ice. Common sugar is difficult to dissolve in this manner. Of course, at home, you can sweeten iced tea when you initially make it in hot water. However, not everyone agrees on what constitutes "sweetened" tea. Therefore, using extra-fine sugar, you can make unsweetened tea and serve it with ice, accompanied by a sugar bowl or dispenser. Your family and guests can add as much sugar as they wish, just as they would add to a cup of hot coffee or hot tea. The extra-fine sugar will dissolve much faster and more easily. There is absolutely no difference in the taste. Walmart sells this sugar for approximately the same price as regular sugar. So, why buy anything other than extra-fine sugar?
A good product, it's fine granulated crystals dissolve quickly, great flavor, easy to use in liquid or in cooking.
This is the sugar I grew up with. The best sugar for baking. The best sugar for everything. You use less sugar to sweeten because of the fine grains of sugar.
I am partial to Dixie Crystals sugar. I hate that it is not carried in store. Will not order again because someone had to hand deliver which was unfair to driver. Walmart should carry in store
less used for true sweetness
Generational choice brand
The only problem I have with this sugar and every other kind I try is that there is almost always weird hard chunks like moisture somehow got into it. What is causing this? Otherwise I like the taste and price.
Received a 4lb bag of sugar that was open and spilled through out the bag. Also sent me two cans of the same room spray. When I wanted two different ones requested.
Everytime that I order this the seal is open on the top. Sugar everywhere. Sent complaint to mfg. but never got a response. So I will change brands and order elsewhere.
Opened the bag to find a solid brick of sugar. Smacking it on the counter didn't break it up. Had to take an ice pick to it. It's still in chunks.
