Dole California Pitted Dates, 8 Oz Snack

I am an associate of Walmart.com and I received this item as a sample in exchange for a review. Perfectly sweet with the right texture - not one bite was mushy, which is pretty impressive for dates! Love that these are not too sweet - perfect for casual snacking or dressing up different desserts/ dishes.

These are very fresh and very good tasting too. My son eats them as a snack. We don't have sugary sweets in our home and these are not sugary, but they taste even better than sugary snacks do. They were a great low price.

I bought these for baking and to add to cereal but I found myself grabbing a few every now and then for a sweet snack! These are PERFECT for that! They are "dried" but not "dried out"! These are still soft and flavorful!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Dates can be very pricey so for the price for only 8oz, makes this a good buy. I like how it wasn't sticky coming out of the bag. They were all whole which made stuffing with cheese easy. I love having these on hand for a healthy snack or last min party idea. I do like the zip bag, but never seem to need it because we always finish the whole bag in one sitting.

These are good, worth the extra few cents in price over the generic, moist, good flavor. Just watch them carefully as once in a while you might find a fragment of a pit....... my family loves date bars or date bread, these make things moist and tasty without adding a lot of other sugar, or I chop them into oatmeal cookies. The packs have just enough for one generous cup full so they are fresh.

I have been frequently unable to buy the store brand of Dates, but I really like them as a good source of fiber, and they're sweet enough to alomost feel like dessert! But since they cost more than the store brand, I may only buy these when I can't find the other ones. Overall, though, they are a great product!

There is a warning on back of bag that dates may contain pits or pit fragments. The first date I took out had a full pit in it. As they are pitted they are not supposed to have pits. 1/2 through bag now and that's the only one with a full pit. The bag is also small at 8 oz. It is advertised at that size but smaller then bags normally purchase( didn't check size for reference before purchased, so that's my mistake but something you might consider when purchase ). Dates taste good, but these will not be my first choice when purchasing in future. I'm going back to brand I usually purchase elsewhere.
