Worked VERY well - with some help

Anonymous July 1, 2026

I had ZERO problems with these but I did read a lot of reviews and made sure I followed some tips. Here's mine: PLEASE google or U- Tube " Proper placement of metatarsal pads. This is a big KEY to relief. Once you grasp proper placement, take out your shoe insert. Clean it with alcohol, let dry. Turn it over so you can mark exactly where to place the TOP of this pad. I crossed my foot over my knee while sitting on a bed. then lightly held the insert to my foot and drew a line with a thin marker right at the bottom of the ball of my foot, which is where these pad go. But again, watch how/where. ALSO for me, my balls started hurting only after a new job had me standing 5-6 hours a day AND I need both Tylenol %26 ibuprofen to help relieve the pain. There is NO way these would have worked IF I tried them with regular sneakers. After 4 weeks of trying many shoes/sneakers for standing all day of which none worked because none had the amount of metatarsal padding I needed, I found Hola Bondi 9 women's shoes. No other shoe or sneakers- NONE - has this amount of cushioning AND many of you won't need it. I did. YET, even with these pricey shoes, after 4.5 hours my feet would ache MUCH less but still an ache. It was after I added these to my sneaker that I had total relief. I also just bought Hoka recovery mules after learning you should wear recovery shoes ( google them) when using your feet hard. Adhesive - NO problem. Has remained on my insert for two weeks to date. Still holding strong most likely because all the complaints were by folks who did not alcohol clean the base,

Anxious to try

Erin November 11, 2025

I was in so much pain wearing these new boots that I got. I love those things, but my pinky toe is squish and the ball of my foot was hurting and full disclosure. I haven't even tried it yet, but I know it has to feel better than the way I was the other day.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Hal2 August 15, 2024

I bought several of these to attach to shoe inserts and what a difference! They take the stress off the balls of my feet and spread the impact over a wider area. No more tenderness on the balls of my feet.

Hard to Properly Place Inside Shoe

Denise April 2, 2026

It's hard to determine where inside the shoe to place these so they are in the proper position when you put your shoes on. They might work better on a sandal when you can see exactly where you are putting them but I don't wear sandals. The packaging only has a picture to show where they should be on your foot without any real written instructions on how to accomplish that inside a shoe you can not see inside.

Poor adherence due to poor adhesive

KATHY June 9, 2026

Item is supposed to be adhesive on one side to attach to the shoe. This one was barely adhesive and it did not stay put. I've bought these before and they worked just fine.

Dr Scholl's need to rethink their solutions.

Nelson April 16, 2026

The concept of lifting pressure off the balls of the feet to ease callus pressure pain is a good one. I would think that Dr Scholl's, being foot specialist, would think beyond this with what other consequences could result. The added pressure just behind the ball of the foot proved to be more painful then the calluses themself. I don't have any problems with my feet other then the the calluses that form on the balls of my feet from having to be on my feet 100% for 8-10 hours daily. These will defiantly introduce new pains worse then those they are intended to relived. I will continue to use those donut shaped callus cushions. If you are dealing with callus pain, these are NOT the solution.

Bad idea

FunkyOldDude November 17, 2025

The adhesive was weak and wouldn't stick where I needed it to. Maybe I was using it wrong but I don't think so. No useful instructions on package. but advertising blurbs aplenty. Ended up impossible to even affix to the shoe to see whether it was effective. I have some double-stick tape from my aircraft maintenance days, maybe i can work something out.

Dr Scholls Ball of foot.

NK May 5, 2026

It doesn't stick properly to my shoes. I had to adjust the attchment for a proper fit and it lost the sticking capacity. In addition, it was uncomfortable and caused pain elsewhere. A full sole may work better.
