Dual Electronics TBX10A 10-inch, Enclosed Subwoofer, 10 lbs., New

After reading reviews I decided not to buy this, UNTIL I seen the older model with silver grill. It seems that one lasts longer and withstands more than the newer model. I have had it for a few weeks, just haven't been able to connect it yet as it snapped and is cold outside even in my garage. I did buy the output converter bc my sync system doesn't come with amp outputs, I also got the amp kit, but I'm wondering if I need a new battery terminal. So yes, my first install, if this goes well, a second amp, And some subs for rear deck where they're openings for 6x8 but can be dremeled to accept 8" subs and some sound deadener I'm hoping I'll be good to go then! I can imagine the looks I'll get after all this is done as I get weird looks driving a 16 taurus being a younger guy, and now one that's got some thump, but anyways, I'll edit after I get installed!

When you take into account the price this is a terrific product. If you're looking to just add some thump to your songs and not the bank I recommend. I don't care enough about good bass to spend a lot so this dual product was perfect. Thanks to the company for making a budget item that actually works. And. It saves you the time building a box for it as well. If you rate this sun low then you're expectations are too high for what you are paying. I'm sure dual could make you a competition level one if they wanted to but for people like me who just want a little more thump than stereo speakers this perfect. Thank you to Dual and your employees!

This sub was purchased for a crew cab truck because of the space at first I thought it wasn't going to sound good the unit is very light and doesn't feel like much but once I hooked it up I was surprised with the bass you have to fine tune it for it not to go into protection and blow out the fuse but the sound quality for the price and coming from a 10 inch sub this I would definitely recommend if your on a budget and want to save space.

I installed this unit under the passenger seat of my semi truck and it is great. Not super deep bass but deep enough to round out the sound inside the cab... works great with an equalizer to help shape the sound.

Before I purchased the combo box I had a decent amp and sub combo with a single 12. It wasn't performing up to how I thought it would for all the effort that was put in for setup. I decided to ditch it and get this combo unit because I generally don't listen to modern music the older music I listen to just has a little pubch. For that it's perfect because it's smaller, cheaper, and is more suitable for MY scenario then others. Bargain if you don't need 2 12s but just a little punch!

I order this sub and I'm completely unsatisfied . I believe the subwoofer I received may have been defective . I ran all wires correctly , I also had two separate people check all the wiring and connections . The power light on the sub comes on but I get no sounds , no bass nothing at all . I would not recommend .

had to exchange it 3 times the built-in amp kept having a short in it ended up going with a different brand

This is Nothing like there older model with the silver grill. The New Model SUCKS. keepsoverheating and turning off. when it is on... it sounds junky. will not buy again. I have 3 of the older models and they are Great. Mustv'e change manufacturer or something. New Model on Left, Old Model on Right.

this set up is junk didnt even have it for 1 full day an done busted the sub an the amp is junk an a Fire hazard cause it gets way to hot it was so hot you couldnt even touch it an hadnt even went into protect modelo or anything... took it bac an got my money bac an just added another $30 to it an bought me a Alpine 10 type E already in a box an everthang an bought the 2500 watt power acoustic razer amp an now my set up hits hard an sounds great an only have $120 it all of it together so yeah... dont buy this dual crap shop an look around an you can find something a lot better for just a little more money...
