The thicker sheeting led to less rips and tears, and was better for winter insulating. (My cats ripped right through the previous thin sheeting we tried.) Was easy to install using double sided tape. andcwas easy yo take diwn and save for next winter. 5/5 recommend

We are in the middle of a snow storm and this product has been very useful. The instruction was easy but it can be time consuming. Pay attention to the length of the product. We did not at first measure the window and had to repurchase to get a longer size. I recommend the double rolls because they are a better price for the money.

Works great at keeping out drafts in the winter! Easy to install and easy to remove. Definitely cut bigger than you need when you start shrinking process it does pull in on the sides and if it is exact it will pull up the tape if it is not stuck down securely.

i purchased 2 big boxes double rolls in both boxes and I have 6 (5 ft by 10 ft) windows! I only used one box for all 6 windows!! it's super easy to use just don't overuse your hairdryer like I did in one spot!! it will melt real quickly then you'd have to re hang new plastic becyyou burn a hole right through it like I did , but tape isn't all that sticky so I applied double layer of tape!

My first time trying this on Windows. It is amazing because it does not let air come in at all. It has helped keep the rooms warm without falling off, no matter what the weather is like. When the temperature drops below zero degrees. It did not let the wind in at all. The whole process of putting it on the window is very simple. Whoever thought of this is an amazing person. If when the summer comes I know that I will not be removing this from my window so that when we put the a/c on it keeps it inside also. Best money I have ever spent.

This was our first winter using plastic on our windows %26 oh my goodness the difference it made! We put this on the windows in our most used common areas (living room, kitchen %26 dining room) and we seriously felt the difference almost instantly! Our winters have been extremely cold and our house is a little older with older windows, so you could stand at the sink %26 feel a draft from the window. Not this winter though! We will probably use it throughout the summer as well for some windows and we'll definitely use it again in the next winter. Highly recommend!

This is something most people should be using in winter. It takes time and patience (and a hair dryer and extension cord) to install, but if done correctly, it keeps the cold air from the windows out of your house, without obstructing your view or sunlight. If you have a handy guy around or you don't mind doing some hard work, I definitely recommend this product. But I've seen my very handy husband install these year after year and it doesn't look easy, so if you're a little old lady, you really need my husband to come over and do it for you. 😜 It typically involves removing any blinds or curtains you have installed and putting them back up afterward. They get in the way of installing this product. So, no, it's not easy, and it's time-consuming, even without blinds and curtains. I think my husband spent three hours on our five windows (blinds only) and had to do the bathroom picture window twice because the stickiness came loose the next day. (It was an older product. We used a new product the second time.) That window has condensation trapped in it, so that's probably why the stickiness failed. But if you can find someone to do it for you (if you're feeble like me), you should have it done every winter. And if you don't ever open your windows, you could leave them up all the time to save energy. If it's done well, you don't see the plastic. It almost takes a perfectionist to do it correctly, so that there are no wrinkles in the plastic. I assume it would keep the air out even with wrinkles though. Note: If you use a humidifier in your home, the white powder will sit on the plastic and you'll need to clean it off for a clear view. They do make products to lessen the amount of white powder your humidifier produces, but you'll still have some. In conclusion… good product. Wish it was easy enough for old ladies to install. Demonstrating how the plastic goes BEHIND the blinds, so blinds must be removed before you install. I assume the brackets have to be removed as well and reinstalled afterward. Much more difficult than expected: unwieldy roll, tape issues, cutting issues, tearing I guess it ok for one-person installations (but no help with two). Honestly, the old school hang and trim method was faster and less hassle. The roll means you can only hang from left to right, too. It magically tears moments after hanging... right before you get the hair dryer. Even though it's rolled, it has fold lines (folded then rolled), and they aren't easy to remove. Clouds up with skin oils, but not the easiest to install with gloves. Covers large windows in one piece unlike most dollar store offerings.

Buy a different brand. This is terrible and unusable. The adhesive tape doesn't stick to the frame even with thorough prep. I tried all sorts of things to salvage the product without success. My window now is full of painters tape trying to hold the plastic in place. The sheet is so weak it tears for no apparent reason. What a waste.
