I buy this cheap tape every 2 weeks to ship with. I just put it in my tape dispenser and go. I cabt complain its just cheap tape to get the job done. I ship alot im not going to spend a fortune on tape. I wouldnt use it without a dispenser though. Seems like it would be a pain. Ive had the same hand held dispenser for over 12 years now.
I have always bought this brand of packaging tape at Walmart ( I am a "walmartaholic") but since had no way to get to Walmart recently I tried shopping here online. All I can say is "WOW!!". This 4 - roll packaging is more economical & time saving than I could ever imagine & the service from Walmart far surpassed my greatest expectations! The tape itself is strong, durable enough for heavy duty packing & shipping since I do both on a constant, ongoing basis. This is the ONLY way I will buy my packaging tape again & ONLY from Walmart.
Great value! Not the thickest tape, but works well. Doesn't rip apart real easy like the dollar store tape. Great for shipping if you don't want to spend a bunch of money on tape.
I use this same brand over and over because I use a lot of tape. Duck Brand Packing tape works perfectly and one roll last a long time. I've been using the same Duck Brand tape dispenser for quite a while and it's held up very well.
This tape is a little thinner than Scotch but far more reasonably priced. I was doing signage with it requiring long strips at a time. A little hard to manage, but usable. Over all, I would buy again but if you need tape as thick as Scotch, get Scotch.
I purchased this item since I'm shipping multiple boxes daily. Amount of tape per roll is excellent. Haven't seen anything yet that comes close to a 100 yards for the price. Unfortunately the tape is very thin compared to rivals. I'm finding myself using more of it to secure the boxes because of this. It also is harder to manage when applying, as it will wrinkle and very easily fold over onto it's self. Basically, it's a great deal if you just want a light tape to wrap envelops or light weight boxes.
We use it to seal cardboard boxes. The tape material seems very thin. It has tendency to fold up when dispensed trough our tape gun. We found that it requires extra pressure to make it stick to the cardboard material. We feel more confident if we double taped the seams due to it's thin material. But we still use it because cost is a factor. Good price for the length of material. But I do worry if the cost is offset by the double taping we do.
Relatively inexpensive tape good for wrapping items inside boxes or closing envelopes but not for external keeping boxes together. Kind of cheap tape and expensive price but doesn't really hold much together.
We use this tape in sealing plastic bags around a product we store on our shelves and have found that after a few months the tape pulls off the product, dry and brittle. Totally useless for any long-term use. Many rolls are also difficult to get off the spindle, as if they are old. It is amazing how difficult the "fresh" tape can be to use and within a month or two its almost useless to adhere anything together that its been used on.
I have been purchasing this same tape for years for shipping ebay packages. I'd say sometime in the past year or so, I've noticed a HUGE decline in the quality of the tape. Prior to the quality change, I would have rated this tape 5 stars, hands down. It was inexpensive, pulled nicely, and I never had a problem with it sticking to the plastic envelopes I ship with. I have used Scotch tape for awhile now because my husband picked it up for me while out shopping. I just ran out, and went to Walmart today to get tape, and forgot about the poor quality that Duck now has, and I bought this tape. When I got home, and pulled that first piece of tape, it immediately split into 2! That's when I remembered noticing a huge change in quality before I was using Scotch for awhile. This tape is going right back into the bag, and is being returned to Walmart! It is not worth the price, because if it doesn't work, it can't be cheap enough! I saw another reviewer mentioned buying tape on ebay. I'm going to look into that, since that's where I purchase my shipping envelopes at a much cheaper cost, and for better quality!
