Comes intact and ready to use with minimal assembly. It heats great and one full tank last a long time. My home is a 1,154 Sq ft rancher and this heater warms half of it nicely. I enjoyed this heater so much that I bought a second one. Great Heater, Great Price!
This heater is easy to use and it heats my trailer nice and cozy. Would recommend for cheaper heat and lowered my electric bill by 150 dollars
Looking forward to using it in an emergency, had no heat On Christmas Eve due to rolling blackouts with Duke energy. No extrra heat source. Good to go now.. Price of K1 kerosene in NC 6.49 gallon.
bought recent and overall happy with it. Seems well build, sturdy and good quality. Put out good heat and is working great for my garage. Small downside is that heat is not adjustable. Raise and lower feature is to keep the wick at the proper height for correct combustion.
I gave it 4 stars only because we haven't used it for a length of time but by following all the instructions it started off with no problems nor did it smoke like others do. I like how you can take the tank out to fill it without dragging the whole unit as it makes it much easier.
This heater was shipped to me and it arrived with the extinguisher button broken. I had it a few months without opening the box or I would have exchanged it. I have a 1000 square foot house and the heater handled the cold just fine.
It's nice that the sides %26 top of heater doesn't get hot. But it really don't give off much heat if you're trying to heat a big space. It'd heat a bedroom or a small room. The knob to adjust the heat sucks. You either leave it on high or you fight with it to keep it on low. If you walk heavy, it shuts the heater off as you walk by. I do not recommend this kerosene heater.
bought this to replace an older kerosene heater. This heater got so hot you couldn't even touch the floor in front of it! The knob worked okay, but you only get two settings: high and just below high. I think it got so hot because the flame was so high on the lowest setting, and you can't lower it down anymore. I will be returning it.
waste of time and money. Haven't even had product for 2 weeks and it's already losing the heat factor. l have a large bathroom and I was using the item to knock off the chill. Electric heater didn't work and using to much electricity. These pictures shows the heater at it's highest level and the flame keeps going down. No one in my area works on this type of heater. i have a full tank of kerosene in this heater.
My basis for comparison is a 15-year old RMC-55-R7. Compared to that one, these new ones are made as inexpensively as possible, and it shows. While my old one feels like it's built to last, the new ones feel like stamped sheet metal that wiggles and bends. GHP Group already replaced one unit for me as all it did out of the box was sputter. Yes, with 1-K kerosene (ask your local fuel station of they have 1-K or 2-K). I fill the tank with fresh, EXPENSIVE 1-K undyed fuel, to the recommended level. Tighten the cap, and gently lower into the cold heater. I watch in horror as the fuel slowly inches its way around the base tray, then going all over my hardwood floor. If I do this outside, as is recommended, I end up with a puddle on my driveway, and dripping stinky kerosene through my home. Maybe the aluminum tank caps are not as good as the old anodized ones. All I know is, I will never get rid of the old one, but the new one might as well go to the curb with the trash.
