Great Filters don't be fooled by cheaper one on Amazon. They are too small.

I ordered 4 more of these as I have one for the home and it couldn't be easier I now have one for everyone of of my classrooms Teaching children about household waste is very important Its there future and we want it to be as clean as possible Using something so easy to add to our yearly gardens uses a lot of questions, vocabulary and natural curiosity amidst the ""yucky"" smell time of putting it into the ground. Definitely worth the time involved

I really like the idea of having something like this. It keeps my kitchen fresh. You literally do not smell anything unless you open the lid.

Have been using since I got it a couple of weeks ago. So far, no problem with odor or fruit flies. It's in my kitchen, so I'd have noticed a problem by now, I think. Seems to be working great. There were two little green plastic pieces in the box. When I asked the manufacturer what they were, the response said it was part of the shipping and I should throw them away. Not a problem, just spend some time trying to figure out what they were.
