As a grandmother, I play this game with my ten and twelve year old grandchildren. It's fast and active and lots of fun. Everyone plays together so there's no waiting for your turn. I usually lose, but I'm finding that playing this game is really good brain exercise for me (and other senior citizens). Love it! Bought two more for gifts for my other grandchildren.
Great game for the children. They love it. My 5 year old loves playing with her sister.
My grand daughter saw t his game at a friend's house
This game is super fun. It's not your ordinary board game and it's unlike anything my kids or I have ever played before. Lots of thought and creativity went into this game. It's one of those games that you want to play again as soon as it's over. The cute little plastic "Steven" dice is so appealing and adorable. My four year old took "Steven" out of the box before I had a chance to read the directions and tried to keep it for his own. The game says it's for ages eight and above. My six year old played it and we just took out the cards that were too hard for her. I can honestly say I have not had this much fun playing a game in a long time.
This was a fun game that adults and kids enjoyed. My daughter is 6.5 and had a lot of the game. She needed a little more help reading the cards (game is rated for 8+ years) and we skipped a few patterns that were a little more advanced. It helped her recognize patterns with the numbers and colors. It's fast paced which adds to the fun.
This is so much fun! The kids keep pulling it out and I always have to join in. My 4 year old can even play on the cards with the pattern picture. My teens enjoy it too. It never gets boring because dice can go anyway. We pair up or play as individuals. There aren't a lot of rules so it is easy to play. So much fun for all ages. I highly recommend this game. We have shelves full of toys and tons of games. They pull them out and lose interest. They keep playing this one so I had to review it.
We played this game tonight, it was so much fun! It is a extremely fast paced game, and is a great way to sneak in extra math practice, as a homeschooler I really appreciated that. Its a simple to play, without encumbering lists of rules, keeping the emphasis on fun. Time flies. The game is awesome for older children, mine are 11 and 13 and we enjoyed it immensely, however there are stars on some cards that would allow for play for younger children. If you are looking for a gift for any child I will highly recommend this one. If there was any improvement I would make it would be to make the dice holders plastic for longer lasting, but that is barely worth mentioning.
I am a teacher in Santa Monica, CA. I played this game with my 2nd grade students in a math center and they loved it. I asked them what they liked about it and they said that it was fun, fast paced, and competitive. One child said it was the best board game he had ever played! As a teacher, I appreciated how it reinforced mathematical concepts like even and odd. I would highly recommend this math game to teachers and parents alike.
We got this game to expand our game night at home. When it arrived in the mail, the kids were instantly excited to get their hands on the Even Steven character! This is a really fun game for 2 people or the whole family. I liked that some of the challenges involved math to be done, but still kept it fun. There's nothing better than when kids are learning math skills and don't even realize it! The kids love this game, have played it many times since we got it.
It was a quick game to learn and play. It moves quickly and the kids enjoy it. The cardboard holder for the dice is flimsy and easily knocked over in the heat of the game. It might be nice to have small boxes for the players to throw their dice into. We had some dice flying around and getting mixed up. It added to the excitement but opened up some frustration by some players. We would recommend this game to friends and family. We already have actually. My sister came for New Year's and it is on her birthday list. We are glad we won the game so we could try it and enjoy it. Good job to the creators!
