My granddaughters were really fascinated by the jewel buttons, one is for play other one repeats what just was played. This fantastic toy takes 3 AAA batteries which came with the wand I received , but you may want to buy extra cause your little ones will definitely be playing with this exciting wand that gives over 90 physical commands, terrific light show and it will have them moving and dancing to all the fun music and commands.Easy and comfortable grip for little hands to hold and very lightweight but seems very durable for many hours of fun, moving and learning all in the same time. Don't forget to grab extra batteries cause this will indeed be played with a lot *two thumbs up*!!!!!

Oh this is just adorable! It is bright, colorful and very entertaining for small babies, I would say for around 1 to 3 years old. It has 26 colorful light shows, 26 tunes, and 90 creative movements. A small child or baby that is able to stand and walk on his own would have so much fun doing the movements it tells you to do and even babies that can't walk, I think they would like it too because of the light shows and tunes it has on this wand. I, as an adult would even get up and do the movements with my nieces and nephews and just have a blast with it! This could be a great baby party activities for all the small ones to do together with or without the parents. It seems to be educational too because it teaches them moves to do. This is also a good exercise wand, getting them use to moving around and helping them stay healthy by moving around and jumping and stomping their feet. I would definitely recommend this to parents who has little ones. It could be for both a boy or girl and like I said even the parents or babysitters could even do this with them. Could even use this for pre-school as an activity for them to do during the day without sitting around all day! I love this. I have added a picture and a video for you to see. Enjoy!

This is my favorite type of toy for young children. It stimulates their own imagination, rather than presenting them with a "canned" plot that doesn't vary much. It also gets them up off the couch, moving, jumping and using plenty of "kid power." Actually, I couldn't stay on the couch, either, and we all enjoyed moving together! Doing it in single file is also fun! It seems very sturdy, and is a good size and weight for little hands to grasp. It is brightly colored, with music, sound effects, and flashing lights both top and bottom. The lights vary in color and vary from each other, so the effect is a mini light show while the music plays and the recorded voice says the "move" randomly selected to act out (e.g. "Sneak like a leopard," "stomp like a dinosaur.") The package states it is for children over 3. There are no small or detachable parts, nor sharp edges. I think even siblings under 3 would have a great time following along with big bro or sis, although they shouldn't be in charge of the toy.

I'm a great-grandmother living in a very small place with limited space. But I like to keep a few toys here for when my little ones visit. The Insights Magic Moves Wand meets my requirements--not too big, educational, easy to use, and FUN! It's such a simple idea: The kids push the button on the Magic Moves Wand, it lights up, plays music, and gives them an activity command like "Zoom like a rocket!" and "Grow like a tree!" and "Hop like a bunny!" The boys played with this for nearly an hour until I made them move on to something else. It kept them entertained and ACTIVE. Kids seem to have limitless energy, and this toy is a great way for them to expend it before bedtime, playing with it indoors or out. Physical activity is so important for a child's health. Plus it stimulates their imagination with the dozens of different activity commands. Equally fun for boys and girls alike. My boys are ages 5 and 9, and they both had a great time playing with it together. I know my 2 year old great-grandson is going to have fun with it too. I highly recommend this toy!

This is such an innovative toy. It is not silly, but quite educational and very good way to get a child to exercise. It increases corordination, les child learn to be creative and up and moving. Most toys that hold a child's interest currently do not call for much movement. The body gets a workout as well as the mind. It is really exciting to see the light show from the top star that keeps time with the music. Changes many bright colors as it tells the child what to do. Reminds me of aerobics for adults, but with added incentives like the light show keeping time with the music. Many different tunes, so child does not get bored. Easy to hold handle with large buttons. The round ball on bottom also flashes to the beat of the music in different colors from the star on top. Sound is clear and voice that directs music is upbeat and fun, also easy to understand. I think even adults will get a kick out of this well made toy...and not be irritated as the child plays with it. I give this product an excellent review because I, Grandma, have fun with it also. Any child from 2 to about 9 would be completely have a ball with this Magic Moves , 26 Light Show Wand!!

I'm in love with this Magic Moves Wand! This Magic Wand has everything kids like...music, light shows, movement, imagination. For one child or a whole roomful, the Magic Moves Wand is irresistible! With 26 lively tunes and 90 fun movements, there is no chance of becoming bored. Join in yourself for a fun workout and special time with your child or a whole roomful of children. This entices the shyest child to join in. Children can put their own creative touch to each movement as they slither, gallop, hop, glide, leap, waddle, stretch, bounce. dance ...well, you get the picture. Each movement is paired with an animal or a career like an astronaut or a common object like a yo-yo making this toy great for language development too. Each movement is between 15-25 seconds. There is a repeat button if one movement really grabs their attention. I like to pair this with a book of animals or flashcards afterwards. We're all ready for a quieter activity after playing with this. You can take as much or as little time as you want. If you work with kids at camp or any place where kids are coming in within a few minutes of each other, it's a great way to have kids join in the fun and separate from their parents. It works on the other end of the day too when kids are being picked up at various times and you need something quick and fun. (I'm not saying how I know...but this is also great fun for adult family/friend get-togethers too. LOL) I've spent over 20 years working with kids...day camps for abused kids, church activities and kids with disabilities. This is one of the best toys I've seen.

I must say, I love this interactive toy! I had so much fun playing with this with my 2 grandchildren who are 3 and 6! They had so much fun acting out the different sounds and moves of the animals. I loved watching them! So easy to use. Press the button and 2 lights come on with the music flashing different colors. I had so much fun watching them pretend to act out what the voice told them. My younger granddaughter loved running around with the lights blinking. I can't say enough about the fun this was for me and the children. Even a younger child would be captivated just watching the lights. I will be purchasing a couple more for gifts for Christmas. You can't go wrong with this...it's so great hearing the kids giggling and having fun!

I opted for this because I have a niece and nephew (twins) 3 1/2 years old. I am a 68 yr old aunt. What makes this so great is that it has the creativity for action, instruction, and listening skills, (even I can participate to the best of my ability). These guys are the first set of twins in our extended family. As we all quickly learned - they grow physically, mentally, and emotional at different paces. They have attended pre-school (and loved it) - though limited times. The Magic Wand opens up a whole new area of home activity for the twins. It allows each one of them to be a leader - as well as listening to an adult leader - they each have their own strengths and sometimes one will lead because their ability is better in a particular area. Its interesting to see how they support each other as they try new activities - they recognize their difference in abilities and are always looking for ways to be supportive to each other. Wonderful that its activities are geared to both indoor and outdoor activities. Travels well - for when boredom sets in - or they become more popular when they get to share it with friends and other relatives. Do wish could raise the volume a little.

My three year old niece loves the Magical Moves Wand. It is the first and last thing she plays with when she is with me. This toy encourages imagination and physical activity to try and accomplish the movements/imitations the wand asks of you. And it is a lot of fun . . . my niece and I are full of giggles every time we play with it. I am not sure why it was made to look like a microphone (more so than a 'wand') . . . perhaps to make it easier to carry around. It was confusing to my niece at first. She expected to be able to speak into it and have her voice magnified. Once she figured out what the Magic Moves Wand was about, she no longer carried it. Another observation is that the Magic Moves Wand is not really a toy for playing with alone. It is most enjoyed by more than one so that the children encourage and laugh with each other. Overall, I think the Magic Moves Wand is a great toy.

First of all please have extra batteries. Would not come on out of the box. once I replaced the batteries ( 3AAA ) all was well. It has an on/off switch, volume control and a repeat setting. Once it was turned on it lit up with flashing lights top and bottom. The tunes where a little low and difficult to understand at first but once the twins realized (understood) that it was singing they started singing along and doing the moves while enjoying the flashing lights of blue, yellow, pur ple, red and pink. They loved it.
