I received this as part of my series 800 lawn mower purchase. So far I'm very pleased with the performance of the charger. It works great and charge time is quick!
My second ego lawn mower with battery and charger. The charger charges the battery extremely fast. I love it. Do not have to wait long to have the battery charged and keep working.
I bought the blower about a month ago and waited for the next snowfall. Well, when it happened a few days ago we had over a foot of snow to deal with. That was something that I did not want to shovel by hand anymore. I wasn't sure if my new blower could handle it. However much to my surprise it took it in its stride. It even cut through the snow and ice left by the plough at the bottom of our driveway as you can see from the photograph. I used the blower for just over an hour and it still had power left. The recharge was very fast for both batteries and now Im waiting for another snowfall. I'm very impressed with this unit and hope it will last for many years to come.
Wow! Fast charging time. Have used it twice and each time has charged before my alternate task is finished.
This rapid charger can fully charge my 56V, 5A batteries in less than 1/2 the time than my standard charger, allowing me to use one battery while charging the other. Before the 1st battery is drained the 2nd battery is ready. Standard charger takes about 1.25 hours and the rapid charger does it in 30 mins or less.
Charger works as expected. Rapidly charging the batteries that I have (2.5Ah, 5Ah, 7.5Ah). I believe the 2.5Ah charged up from new and never used in about 1/2hr. I believe the 5Ah charged up from new and never used in about 50min. I believe 7.5Ah charged up from new and never used in about 80min.
It is rapid for any battery lower than 7.5 if you wait until 100% has been charged. It takes anything between 45 min to an hour to charge fully from 25% left on the battery. Ego has proven to put out some great quality equipment. I wish that had a riding lawn mower. I had to buy their competition’s because I couldn’t keep mowing 2.4 acres with the self propelled mower.
I bought the charger and mower last week after using my neighbors EGO Mower. The charger is designed to mount on the wall which I did close to an outlet. Simply slide the battery onto the charger and wait for the four green light to all light up and you know the battery is fully charged. I have a small yard so the first time I used the mower today the battery did not fully discharge. I put in back on the charger and within 5 minutes all green lights were indicating the battery was fully recharged and ready for the next use.
The self propelled feature was exactly what I needed. It even has adjustable speed if you are able to walk fast. For me the fastest speed is like running. The slow speed is perfect. It is useful to to be able to use the self propel, even when just moving the mower from one place to another. I love the adjustable handle. I’m short and being able to easily move the handle lower is great. All the controls and levers are easy to use. Except the mowing height adjustment is hard for me. But once you find the height you prefer I don’t think constant adjustments are necessary. Long grass is no problem for this mower. Although if the grass is the least bit wet, it does get clogged shooting into the bag. I did get stump ed figuring out where to fasten the bag on the mower. My grand daughter was helping, otherwise I’m sure I would have seen the arrows on the picture indicating proper attachment. Having three options is nice: bagging, mulching, onside discharge. Having one heavy duty battery is wonderful. Just remember to charge it. And if you start one day and have to finish the next the battery seems to drain itself just sitting in the mower. So I disconnect it in between. One charge does my very large lawn. Turning corners and navigating curves is as much of a challenge as with any other mower.
Rapid change is a great way to go. Taking less than an hour, I can take a breather and have something to drink. Then continue mowing. And combined with EGO electric mower, there is no priming and cord pulling
