Elemis Pro-Collagen Facial Cleansing Balm - 3.5 oz

I literally never leave reviews but feel I have to for this product. I have suffered from acne for 8 years and have tried everything under the sun to clear it (including two courses of roaccutane and cutting out wheat+dairy) however nothing has worked for long. My sister recommended me this cleansing balm and the marine cream. I was sceptical as I've lost faith after so long, and balms don't usually suit my skin that well, but I was willing to try anything! Thankfully I took her advice as these two products have honestly transformed my skin. It has never looked so clear, even and blemish-free. I have had so many compliments about my skin and have even been feeling brave enough to leave the house make up free (which I NEVER do). Everyone needs to try these products, I will never use anything else now!!

I have been struggling with mask acne lately and my normal face wash wasn't helping at all. My mom recommended using this as she loves it, i was nervous due to always having sensitive skin, but after 2 weeks I am obsessed and my skin is looking beautiful and acne is going away!

Smells great, not too strong. When you first apply, it is oily as it melts on your skin, but unlike other cleansing oils, this one doesn't feel excessive.

I am now on my second tub of this little pot of heaven! My first tub seemed to last for ages (approx one year) but I used to only use around 1x per week when giving myself a facial. Since gettibf my second pot I have switched to using this every evening after removing my makeup with a wipe or Micellar water. It's such a unique product to me as I have never used something that is so deep cleansing and nourishing at the same time! You only need to use a very small amount and it does a fantastic job at deep cleansing whilst softening and hydrating the skin at the same time. Sometimes I'll apply this then take a shower and leave on as a mini mask for 15 mins. I dont even find I need to wear much makeup when I use lovely products like this as my skin just looks radiant and bright on it's own. If wearing makeup I would remove with another cheaper product first (wipe or other cleanser) and use this as a second clean as you would have to use a considerable about more I feel to just use this for makeup removal and I feel would be quite wasteful and too expensive. Love the smell and love the results. Wonder want to switch love it that much it's my everyday holy grail cleanser!

I love how this works and how it leaves my skin feeling.... im 55 and like to take good care of my skin. I now have all three fragrances of the cleansing balm..the marine the neuroli and the rose they all work exactly the same the rose however is my favourite because of the scent this was suprising since im not generally a fan of anything rose scented but it has made my skincare routine a pleasure...

My skin is quite sensitive and this product has quite a strong scent so I was concerned about using it. You rub a small amount into your skin, emulsify with water and then clean off with a flannel. My skin felt softer and more plumped than it ever has post cleanser. I almost didn't feel the need to moisturise. It works a dream at removing make up and you only need to use a tiny bit at a time. I've also tried layering on a thicker layer as a face mask, my skin was beautiful in the morning and I had no reaction even leaving it over night. I'm very impressed

This cleansing balm has a lovely smooth texture, it is very effective at removing make-up and leaves the skin moisturised. The only down-side for me is that it has a lot of highly fragranced essential oils. Some are OK, but the addition of menthol makes it unsuitable for using near the eye. Why would you put menthol in a cleansing product which would otherwise have made an effective eye-makeup remover? Who wants mentholated products near their eyes? Who wants a cleanser that can't be used near the eyes? I don't get it.

I purchased this as part of a set and had read all the rave reviews. The gel does work and it's great that it can be used as a face mask. BUT the smell is overwhelming and this removes any relaxing quality. I find it smells like chemicals and I almost fear damage to my skin because it smells so harsh. Not a fan which is such a shame

Unfortunately after using this product for a few months it has had a negative impact on my skin. It does not remove the dirt etc and left my skin greasy.

Unfortunately it made me break out. I knew there was a chance this could happen since I'm super sensitive to fragrance, but I was still hopeful. I ended up giving it to one of my friends who absolutely loves it. Sad it didn't work for me but others have said what a great product it is so I'm still glad I tried it!
