e.l.f. Prime & Stay Finishing Powder, Sheer

I have used Walmart for as long as I ca n remember and have always been satisfied with their quality and speed. If they are out of an item, they let me know immediately what substitutes are available. I have positive feedback for Walmart and have never been disappointed!

I purchased this for an excellent tip I received and it is perfect. But I have two colors. But this color I have found many new ideas on different places to use it. Win win

This makeup is great quality for the price! The colors are beautiful and apply smoothly without feeling heavy. It blends easily and lasts throughout the day.

I have used this for years and LOVE the sheer, smooth, matte finish that it leaves on my face (even over a sheer sunscreen). It doesn't clump or create any uneven texture. It goes over concealer evenly and gives my fair skin light coverage that lasts all day.

As a person with dry skin I don't usually wear powder, but the Prime & Stay Finishing Powder is the only one that works for me. It's so finely milled that It doesn't clink to any dry patches and helps tone down my the shine from my SPF. Only drawback is the packaging it's very flimsy and breaks easily. I do hope e.f.l. Changes the packaging to something more durable. This is my 3rd time purchasing this product!

I believe that if you have combo normal-to-oily skin, this powder would likely be great for you as long as the color will match your skin. But for me, with normal to dry skin, I felt that it was not "dewy" enough, as it accentuated face lines and wrinkles right after lightly applying it with a face brush. I made sure not to apply too much powder. In addition, I got the shade "Sheer", which seemed like it would be fine for my fair skin, but it made my face just ever-so-slightly whiter than normal. It wasn't enough to be a big difference or too visibly noticeable, but I did notice the difference as I was brushing it on. Even though this powder didn't seem to be drying, it did still have a slightly matte finish, which I feel did not help in making face lines show up more. Another point - many people have said that this packaging is uber-cheaply made and the lid breaks off. I didn't keep mine long enough to have that happen, but the hinge area did seem like it would be easy to break. It turns out that $5.00 for this powder is not very cheap if you do the math on how much you're paying for the number of ounces it has in it. It is really quite expensive per ounce, and they are not making most face powders now with nearly as much quantity as they regularly used to!

This is a nice and less expensive option to Covergirl %23120 the only down size (and likely cost savings) is there is no application pad-I had to purchase (a 3-pack of applicator pads to use). Not a big deal though. E.L.F. seems like a good option-I also use their eyeliner and mascara.

I didn't realize that it didn't come with a mirror inside, I mean what good is s compact without a mirror, ended up returning it for one that did..... other than that it seemed like a nice product.... saw a couple of youtube videos showing how it looks on.

I was dissappointed in the color, it was too light and kind of orange tint or mayber yellow. It made my skin look a little ghostly. I wore Maybelline or Cover Girl Medium or medium beige which blended so nicely. But now it's either too expensive and I am on a tight budget since I have retired and on Social Security. Can't afford those prices anymore. The "ELF" products are pretty decent and I use their mechanical eye brow pencils but these too have gone up so much in the past year. I used to pay $1.00! (truth) now almost $4.00. But still cheaper compaired to other well known brands.

This one was a fail for me too but not as bad as the Elf foundation I used with it. I need to try it on a different foundation but my first impression wasn't great. It was just ok. If I can't get it to work with another foundation, then I'll definitely add this to my list of completely failed irems lol
