Elite Cuisine Single Cast Electric Burner Hot Plate, Black

I love this hot plate! I had to wait until I used it to give a review. I have only used it one day. But that was all day. Turning it off and on all day. Im using it to melt wax for my candle making. I turn it on 3 and it gets as hot as I need it to. It boils water at that setting. If it keeps working this well, I will be very happy with it. Maybe when I've had, and used it for a while, I will be invited back for a follow-up review. So far, I absolutely love it

I had initially ordered another single burner and upon use I discovered that it was wobbly as the opposite legs weren't even so I had to return it and I ordered the Elite Cuisine instead and I am delighted that it's a thousand watts and more powerful as the other was 750. Also I was curious to see if it would boil chicken and it does it very well..so happy Wal-Mart had several options to choose from. This is a keeper. I highly recommend you pick this one and look no further. thank you walmart for giving me choices..

I save so much money on gas I never use my burners,,I love this hot plate!

i like the width of the unit and the stability of the legs. This unit is better than the last unit which only worked once. i did have an elite brand which lasted a few years, so i returned to this brand. Happy with its performance.

This is a substantial burner...I haven't used it yet except to plug in to see if it was o.k....it was and without any smell..so far so good

It heats quickly and holds temperature.

It works well for a visually impaired person. Great for the price. Not a space hog. But also not a conventional stove top either. Like the fact that spills are not as much of a mess. Great for camping or dorm room.

if speed is what you need most, then don't buy this one, get a coil one. This one is a little slow to warm up at first, hence 4/5 stars, but once it's warm it works perfect, spreads heat evenly around the plate, unlike those coil ones, which burn your pan and food in one spot or another at random. All in all, a very good product for the money.

Does what it says and does it well for an affordable price. Hope it lasts longer than a year. Took a star off for the ugly, white and red, permanent sticker that says: Caution, hot surface. Really?! Solid build, can't complain too much.

It takes a while to heat and cook.
