I needed a small toaster for a smaller countertop and this was perfect. It looks and works great! I like the wide slots, works great for bagels. I never need more than two piece of toast at a time, so this fits my needs.

Small size, neat looking no frills toaster! Great for our needs and seems to be holding up really well -using it twice a day for the last 10 months-Hope it lasts!

Really like this toaster, i own one and have bought it for others. It cleans up very easily; the crumb tray slides out-love that feature. Wide slots and for the small kitchen with very little counter space it doesn't take up a lot of space. Has plenty of settings for how toasted you like your bread and i like the rounded sides of this toaster. It's pleasing to look at.

Very nice appliance for the price. The spring pop-up feature is wound tightly and I had a small piece of toast almost land on my plate at which point I would have given six stars! The gloss black (plastic) outer casing fits with any decor and incidental white Hamilton Beach logo on the side is very elegant touch.

The cord is too short. Have an appliance cabinet that I was moving it to, but the cord wouldn't reach receptacle.😞 So it's occupying crowded sink area.

The electric cord comes out from the front of the toaster where the controls are at. Instead of the rear or side. I not saying it's a bad product, it's just not what, I wanted.

The toaster looks nice for the price. A bit slow to warm but gets the job done. I was surprised that Walmart 12 grain bread is too big and has to be cut to fit.

This item isn't quite a "send-back" for me but I would buy a different brand if I had it to do over. It browns quite unevenly between one side of the toast and the other, and their one year warranty is nearly worthless because if you were to need to use it, along with a trip to the post office, you would also have to pay for the shipping BOTH WAYS to have it repaired or replaced! If it were me, it would make more sense to just throw it out and never buy a Hamilton Beach item again. :-O

My 30-year-old toaster stopped working well, so I ordered the HB 22217 toaster to replace it. I almost returned the Hamilton Beach right after receiving it because the top (metal) part of the toaster gets extremely hot when using, so you have take the toast out carefully to avoid being burned. But I learned to be careful, and kept it. I wish I had returned it. A few days ago I noticed it wasn't working perfectly, but I didn't realize until today that the inside heating elements on both sides aren't working. So it only toasts one side of each piece of toast placed in it. That's great if you only one half your bread toasted. I'm just outside 90 days, so I probably can't return it. You can bet that I will NOT be buying anything Hamilton Beach again. Such a waste of money!
