Elitech WJL-6000S Freon Leak Detector Halogen Gas Sniffer Refrigerant Tester AC Leak Tester worked very well finding the Freon leak at the AC water condensation drain as soon as I located it. Which took 8 hours to locate the drain. Thanks Elitech! JDM
Used the 6000S to find a small leak at the service port. The loud beeping from the detector is easily muted if need be by simply covering or plugging the speaker hole on the front of the detector.
Great value, works as advertised ,detected source of leak was the schrader valve
Just what I needed tracking Freon leak onmotorhomd
I was skeptical for what it cost but I have used in on 2 different cars and it worked perfect of course both those AC leaks were at the condenser.
Very nice sniffer! Works good, nice heavy-duty box, to keep it looking good, easy to use. Thanks y'all!

TL;DR Inexpensive, easy-to-use Freon leak detector that works well enough for quick checks, though results can be a bit hit-or-miss (like most detectors). Comes with a carrying pouch and feels solid for the price. Why I Got This Product I needed a quick, affordable way to check if my AC unit was leaking Freon, and this detector was priced much lower than professional tools. First Impressions %26 Setup The unit is bright yellow, has a flexible metal wand, and came in a small carrying bag. Setup was simple — just turn it on and let it warm up before testing. Performance %26 Features When I tested it on my Freon tank, it picked up the leak right away. On my outdoor AC unit, it did detect what seemed like a leak on one of the lines, but the next day the same spot showed nothing. From what I've learned, even expensive detectors can give inconsistent results, so this isn't necessarily a flaw with this particular unit. Comparison or Expectations I didn't expect perfection, but for the price, it works surprisingly well. This isn't a professional-grade tool, but for occasional use, it's more than enough. Final Thoughts %26 Who It's For If you're a homeowner or hobbyist looking for a quick way to check for possible leaks without spending hundreds, this is a great value. Just keep in mind that detecting AC leaks can be tricky, and no detector is 100% consistent.
well I tried it out and it did not find my leak it tended to have false signals I wasn't impressed
Was working good , but stopped working!
