I only wish I had bought them long ago. I've tried many home-made solutions with no luck. These Gnat stix work exactly as I was hoping, trapping those little fungus gnats immediately.
Place them on the rim of a small cup filled with apple cider vinegar. They will all come and get stuck and die. It's awesome. You catch way more this way than with just the vinegar/saran wrap alone.
Worked great. Caught hundreds of knots in just a couple days.
Gnats don't stand a chance!
This product is very good for catching gnats, fruit flies, and nets. I put them in my flower pots, and they even caught flies.
This doesn't kill gnats that don't land on it. I like that it's not a pesticide as I grow herbs I eat but it would be nice to get rid of the gnats entirely. These Stix do work and they catch everything in flight or coming out of the soil it just doesn't work on the Larve.
If you don't want to get rid of your house plants this works great. How it works: basically it's super sticky, brightly colored paper that you attach to popsicle like sticks and stick in the the plant soil. The flies are attracted to the bright color and literally get stuck. I gave it 4 starts because not all the flies get caught so it doesn't permanently solve the problem.
Flying bugs get caught 'On the fly'. Strips deliver as advertised. Shared with daughter-in-law and she is happy with the results too. Shoo-fly-shoo
They are great but hard to get the stick to stay on the yellow sticky paper. I actually used them to catch ants as they were coming out to crawl across my counter. But the stick kept coming lose from the paper. Put one in my plant dirt just in case my Zevo trap plugged in near it failed to catch the see through flying around in the air. Won't buy again.
I've had these out for about ten days now and I only caught one gnat. According to the box they only work if you have house plant gnats and fungus gnats.
