Equate 100% Pure Cotton Swabs, 500 Count, 2 Pack

I've been using these for many, many years now and I don't think I'll ever switch. These are an excellent value for how many you get in the box. I absolutely don't like using the plastic swabs because they bend out of shape. I don't have any issues with theze ones doing that, and they've proved to be very sturdy. I buy these for the entire family, and they last a good while.

These cotton swabs are about as good as any others I have purchased at less cost than the others. I've found the cotton swab area just as thick and resilient as the majority of others advertised at a larger price range. I find them a really good value for the price and recommend them to all households desiring the best deal for the least cost.

These q-tips have improved a lot from several years ago. I use them daily for personal hygiene, to cleaning those small places around the home and in the car. Several years ago the cotton was sparse in comparision to the well known brand. I have to say that the quality is very similar and in my opinion slightly better now.

This review is supposed to be for the Equate 100% Pure Cotton Swabs 500 Count. But it's not showing me a pic, so I dunno.... Anyway, the Equate swabs are great and cheap AND the sticks are some kind of paper, even though the packaging and product pages don't make this clear. Not for the ones I bought, anyway, and I was specifically looking for paper sticks. I'm glad I guessed right! Paper is so much better than those cheap plastic sticks which are flimsy and are slippery if your hands are wet. (Grrr, I hate those plastic ones. Seriously.) This paper has good grip even when wet. I literally dunked one under the faucet right now just to verify, and yep: grips just fine.

Cotton swabs are one of those things I always keep around because they come in handy for practically everything! From cleaning up makeup mistakes to little household cleaning jobs, there's always a reason to grab one. I love that you get 500 for such an affordable price. No reason to spend more on a name brand if these do the job!

I discovered these Q-tips I'd say maybe about six months ago and they are just as equal as the brand Q-tips for probably 2 to 3 dollars more money. They have enough cotton on the tips and they are not the cheap bendable kind where you put it in your ear and it burns. They have a good strong stick holding it together so I definitely recommend this over the Q-tip and having to pay 2 to 3 dollars more for just the main. These cotton swabs work fine for basic everyday use, but the quality of the cotton tips could be better. I've noticed that once the cotton becomes moist, it is more likely to loosen or come off the stick. That can be frustrating depending on what you're using them for. They're okay for light, dry tasks, but I would prefer the cotton to be attached more securely.

We have used these equate cotton swabs for years and been very happy with them until recently. The quality has gone way down and they bend terribly when you use them. We will not purchase them again, I guess we will have to switch to the name brand.

I purchased these Equate "cotton swabs," instead of the excellent Q-tip brand we've all been using for decades. I figured I'd save a couple of dollars on an EXTREMELY SIMPLE product. What a MISTAKE! The FIRST time I used one of these Equate cotton swabs, the shart (the middle part between each cotton ends) folded into a crease as I was attempted to clean my ear. The SLIGHTEST amount of pressure while twirling the cotton end inside your ear causes these EXTREMELY CHEAP cotton swabs to fold and FAIL. You simply cannot use the cotton swab end if the "shaft" (stick in the middle) cannot support the operation!! I tried numerous different pieces of these Equate cotton swabs, and ALL of them were "defective" (actually, they weren't "defective." They are DESIGNED to be this terrible...it's not a "defect"). Wow...how HARD is it to make a quality SIMPLE product like a REAL Q-tips?!!! In this case, Equate could not get this ridiculously basic product made correctly. Now I gotta spend MORE MONEY to get the REAL thing: Q-tip brand.

The "quality" of these q-tips is VERY POOR. Because the stave or stick part of the product is made of flimsy wax paper, it bends and folds way too easily. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. Get the name-brands or the ones with the wooden sticks, instead. Unless your fingers do not apply much pressure when using them, unlike myself, then this is not going to be good for you.
