As I get older my skin is changing.. dry is not the word. But this here which I thought was going to be too thick and heavy is Not and yet it is lightweight but just right! It a great dupe to Cetaphil which I use interchangeably. This can be used year round and my skin has changed for the better .
Just what I needed. Late 30s diabetic skin. This cream is thick and feels greasy but in a good way. Once the skin absorbs it greasy feeling goes away and a moisture feeling returns like when I was in my early 20s. I use on face, liked it better then cerave. Before this used ponds for 20 years but needed something more moisturizing to last the day and this did the job.
I have irritated skin from hormonal acne. This soothes my face and does not cause break out. I have been using this stuff for years and it works great. No smell. I have had the name brand but this is the same if not better. I am never without this. If it is discontinued, I will be disappointed.
This gets a rare 5 stars from me. Cream is, amazingly, non-comodegenic (i.e. will not block pores and cause pimples), fragrance free, generous amount gentle for sensitive skin, and very thick and soothing, with an almost gel-like consistency. Soaks in and completely disappears into my skin within a few minutes after application, without leaving ANY residue - i.e. no oiliness, no waxy layer, just clean, moisturized skin - yay! My skin gets super dry in the winter and is very sensitive and prone to itchiness and eczema - this product deals with all of that beautifully. I also buy the Cerave this is based on, both the regular and antitch, but find myself using this product the most because of how well it absorbs and heals my skin, combined with the cost savings. First time I have ever found a product up to Cerave standards made by someone else. Still, for serious outbreaks or itchiness, nothing beats Cerave - but the race is photo finish close. Like Cerave, this cream is perfectly packaged in a nice, wide mouth jar so you can easily get every drop of the product out - i.e. zero waste. Plus, no dyes or fragrance, just the natural clean , fresh smell of the product. I hope Walmart keeps the formula "as is" as this product is pretty much perfect.
Have used this Walmart brand (Equate) for years at a better price than the "name brand". Smooth, thick, no scent, good sized jar. Helps with itchy, dry skin all year (we live in very low humidity area), not oily and rubs right into legs, arms, back, etc. No residue (unless you "gob" it on and don't rub it into skin).
no one is paying me or giving me anything free for this review. i just want to help any other women who have struggled like me to find something that finally works for older facial skin. during my younger years I had PCOS which caused incredibly oily skin and very painful cystic acne. the oil was so bad people would ask me if I was hot because I always looked sweaty. gross. now that I'm in perimenopause, my skin has completely changed. my face, especially my forehead and eye area, are incredibly dry and very uncomfortable. everything irritates my skin now and causes it to burn. I can't abide anything with scent and it seems all of the wrinkle creams have something to bother my skin. I have spent the last several years searching for a simple fragrance free but very moisturizing cream. a lot of the thicker creams do not deeply hydrate but just sit on top of my skin and feel heavy or greasy. not this cream though. this cream is thick but it absorbs into my skin. I can literally feel my poor, dry, irritated skin soak this in and relax. no scent at all and no burning sensation like with a lot of wrinkle creams. I can't express how relieved I am to have found something that finally works for me. I even use it on the rest of my body and hands. this, in my opinion, is the best cream out there for sensitive, dry skin. and it comes in a large jar for a very low price.
Same as name brand. i truly love this cream, super hypoallergenic, great if like me, your skin is sensitive. no scent, just a smooth, rich emollient that quickly sinks into your skin. i especially like using it after after working in the garden! the ptice is just right!
This is a great fragrance-free moisturizer, and honestly, I can't tell a difference from the brand name version. It has a thick texture that leaves a lightly tacky, hydrated finish, which I actually like for my skin. The big 16 oz tub is a solid deal for how well it works.
I've been using this lotion for years, it is an absolute must have at all times for me. I have sensitive, dry skin and this lotion has helped keep my face clear and hydrated. I use it for my whole body too all year round. I haven't found anything else that compares.
I am tired of Walmart's apparently new policy of not putting safety seals on products. The jar of cream was unsealed and anyone could have opened it and coughed or spit (or worse) on it, or contamimated it in many ways. I am returning this $8 open jar of cream! Recently, I also received two unsealed boxes/tubes of triple antibiotic ointment. If you are doing away with plastic you should seal items with paper tape around the lid or a paper seal or aluminum foil seal inside. You are going to end up with someone using a contaminated unsealed product and bad results could follow.
