My husband had a compression fracture of the spine. The pain relieving patches work and help to reduce oral medication for the pain. I put one on in the morning and another on before bed and they do the trick. Equate brand is much more economical than the big name brands. It works great.
These work so well for my knee pain. In fact one day my store was out of the equate brand so I had to buy name brand. Were smaller and didnt stick as well. I can put the equate one on my knee in the evening and wear to sleep. Wasn't able to do that with Salonpas. Ordered two boxes online so this doesnt happen again.
This patch works as well as the prescription dose. The patch is easier to use than most of the other OTC patches as it seems slightly thicker and less likely to fold on itself. The prescription patch is the thickest and easiest to work with, but this is a close second.
I bought this product while shopping for the small SalonPas for my neck and shoulders that I use on a regular basis. I saw the large Lidocaine ones that I had not tried before and looked at them. I compared them to the Equate ones next to them. After comparing the active ingredients from both boxes and seeing that they were the same, the next thing I looked at was the price and that’s where there was a big difference, several dollars. That’s when I decided to give these a try. These are large patches 3.93” x 5.51” which was enough to cover my back side to side. When you first apply the patch it is cold so it might give you a start. These hold on very well...unless you forget and get in the shower, in which they will dislodge. These lidocaine infused patches did a good job of helping relieve topical pain. They are not messy and do not smell like medicine. These worked as well as their higher priced counterparts. I would recommend these to others.
If you do not know how to properly put these on then no they will not stick! Clean area you wish to attach it to with alcohol first just like nurses do in the hospital for bandaids. I use them on the back of my neck from three spinal surgeries and YES they help. They also stick much better when you stretch them out properly! I also nurse kinesiology tape on the corners to keep them down. After this they would stay on for days if not for showers!
This takes care of major pain in my leg. There are times I can hardly move and I put this on and within a half hour I can move again. I've never tried the name brand one but I have no need to- this works great! I always have a box in my home.
I normally buy Salon brand and the Store was out and they had the Equate Lidocaine patch So I bought it and I thought may not be a good as the name brand WRONG the plus side with the Equate Lidocaine patch Sticks better than the name brand and the results are the same as the name brand except the Bonus of it sticking better oh Yes and Priced less then the brand
These patches help me after a pelvic fracture. I first received a lidocaine patch while in a rehab hospital. The Doctor told me that it was cheaper to buy this product at Walmart than to have a prescription written and filled at the local pharmacy. The only problem I had was that sometimes the patch was not in stock in the retail store near us. Also, because the patches are very sticky, you (Or the person putting on the patch) need to develop the skill set to put the patch on smoothly. In my case some paper tape was useful to keep the patch edges in place.
I'm awaiting hip replacement surgery, am in constant, excruciating pain and lucky to sleep 1 hour at a time. In addition to the ache, it often feels as though someone is drilling into my bone with a red hot drill bit. I've tried OTC/Rx medications, CBD products while alternating a heating pad with ice packs. Nothing has worked! Enter Equate Maximum Strength Lidocaine Pain Relieving Patches. I was SHOCKED to FINALLY feel relief!! I am so very grateful to my friend for insisting I try these despite my skepticism. I tried the more expensive product and felt no difference in quality. Also, this brand doesn't rip your skin off during removal.
Equate Lidocaine Patches give as much pain relief as other brands we've used, such as Aspercreme and Salonpas, for a lot less. Will definitely buy these again!
