i personally preferred this over Dr. Scholls. DS bandage didn't stick good, not even with a bandaid to secure it whereas the bandaid stuck with this product
Worked great! The corn is almost completely gone and this is the best my toe has felt in months!
These work well if you can get them to stay on your foot without getting stuck to your sock and being twisted off.
I love the strips. They adhere easily, and they stay in place. They work well. However, One of the boxes I purchased was damaged and two of the strips were missing from said box. Since I did curbside pickup, I didn't notice it until I got home. Oh well.
Two stars vs one only because this will work if you change them every couple hours instead of the 48 hours they are supposed to last, but doing that makes them cost much more than the genuine Dr. Scholl's version. This is the rare Equate product that is not nearly as effective as the original, Dr. Scholl's in this case. The problem is not the active ingredient, salicylic acid in this case. That is the same. The problem is the strip's adhesive. The directions say to wear one of these Band-Aid-like items for two days, then change to a new one. But after following the directions for cleaning my foot, even with alcohol to improve adhesion, within a matter of five or six hours of ordinary life wearing a shoe, and not including workouts or going for long walks, the adhesive strip has moved almost an inch to the side and begun wadding up. There is a dot of the active ingredient the size of a pencil eraser closer to one end of the adhesive strip. It has a better adhesive and moves less, but it still moves off the center of the corn, and of course it has to stay put to apply the medication to the right spot. After these failed I bought "Dr Scholl's Corn REMOVERS salicylic acid" in a blue and yellow plastic wrapper, UPC 3 11017-100-02 8, which are slightly different (see below) and they stick so well they're hard to get off, as they should be if you're going to wear them on your foot inside a shoe while you walk. They don't move at all and they have the same 40% salicylic acid active ingredient. One slight difference you might overlook. In this particular Dr Scholl's product you must first apply a black dot of the active ingredient you peel off a small card I almost overlooked, then center the hole of a beige pad from another card over the black dot. These stay put like they should. Walmart's Equate division needs to go back to the drawing board on their supposed equivalent and use a better adhesive.
Awful do not buy. Some of the medicated circle sticks to the cellophane. And useless after trying to untwist the hard to apply bandage. Annoying af
The medicated pad size is smaller than expected and does not cover enough for a larger corn. Using Equate Wart remover is a better choice than this.
Wish I had read the reviews before making this purchase, but admittedly, I was lured by 1) half the price of Dr. Scholl's and 2) Equate usually lives up to the name brand. I felt the stickiness of the bandaid wasn't strong enough to let the salicylic acid portion put enough pressure on the corn. The bandaid definitely doesn't keep in place after walking a bit either. I went through the entire box and still have a corn that needs treating, darn it.
I was hoping this would be a less-expensive alternative for the Dr. Scholl's corn removers, but unfortunately the adhesive is so poor that within a few hours it's bunched up and sticking to my sock instead of sticking to my foot. I didn't have this problem with the name brand. Usually Equate is great, but this particular product doesn't make the mark.
These pads do not work as I've tried them before. That is why I wanted the liquid And did not want this Item
