Says assembly required. Takes all of 1 minute to attach the feet rests. Was really surprised how well built it is and the overall quality of the of the wheelchair. Maneuverability is excellent and rolling resistance is very light. So easy to push. Brakes hold tightly when engaged. Weighs about 40 pounds so it's fairly easy to lift up and put in our backseat to transport. For the price it's a real bargain.
Came fully assembled. Footrests were assembled and in a box with the wheelchair, and they were easy to put on the chair. Footrest assemblies swing out to sides, and foot paddles fold up to facilitate getting into and out of the chair, but legs do not elevate feet upward (said that it did not in product description). Chair folds easily for storage. It's not bad to sit in. Brakes hold firmly! Easy to maneuver with the grip rings on the big wheels. Not bad for the price. Hope it holds up long as I'll have a need of it.
We use it to transport my mother when she needs assistance and it's been great for that. It's lightweight enough to load into and out of the car but also does not disappoint structurally.
This chair was easy to use right out of the box. It is lightweight and comfortable for my mother. Very useful in getting her from the house to the car. It easily folds up to fit in the trunk.
It is really good product. My son six foot tall was comfortably fit in the wheelchair. Initially I thought they forgot to include footrest for almost 10 days. Later when I dig in the big box noticed small box in it where I found the foot rest. Satisfied with merchandise
It comes mostly put together already, so there's not much to assemble. But the little you do need to assemble was not super clear, so it took a little while. The lock/unlock mechanism is a bit hard to figure out. It's really easy to fold for storage and once folded it locks automatically. Unlocking it to unfold it for use takes some figuring out. We just keep jiggling, pulling and wrangling until it comes open, not the most ideal method, but you can't beat the price for a basic wheelchair.
wheelchair is extremely creaky/loud/embarrassing, even when 100lbs under weight limit. right wheel had a plastic piece sticking off hand grips, scraping hand. bought to last at least two months, and I'm really worried it won't make it, which isn't great for almost $200. Also has seat screws/rivits that press against you which makes it uncomfortable after a while. def recommend an additional cushion or a blanket. giving two stars because fully assembled other than putting on foot straps was convenient as I'm non weight bearing for two months.
Disappointed in quality. Have purchased several of these before and quality was good. The one I recently got the brakes did not work- chair moved even when locked. And the armrests move even when locked. Had to return.
I just bought the wheelchair and only had it two days, so I expected a lot more. The seat is uncomfortable. The customer service listed is not helpful, he tells you to get hold of the manufacture to resolve issues. I live in an older home with narrow hallways and doors, so I needed an electric wheelchair for mobility. So I had to remove the lower parts of the chair. I'm going to try it for a few days more and put a cushion in the chair to sit on.
broke completely while on vacation... no other walmart had a replacement. Had to use my leg which isnt supposed to bear weight. walmart WILL be sued if medical attention is needed due to their cheap faulty crap.
