Customer Insights: Rated 4.4/5 from 363 reviews.
Very easy to use. Connect it directly to the battery withe the connector that comes with the charger. Keeps the battery charged with the built in trickle charger. My utv slowly drains the battery as i found out. The manual recommended a 4 amp charger with a 1 amp maintainer. This one is perfect......
First of all, I read the reviews! Most say it will take hours to charge! Not for me only 2 Hrs.! My Jeep Compass started on first turn! The cord was long which I liked! Did not use the magnet that's attached to the unit and did not use the little hook to hang it! I was surprised how easy this was! I really not mechanically inclined! I watched a few You Tube videos on how to set it up It was simple! Make sure you have a long extension cord if your vehicle is in the driveway!
This is great for batteries That need to sit for a while like motorcycle and boat ones. The magnet can keep th charger off the table if need be and the charger has a set of quick disconnect terminals to attach right to the batteries and then there are the battery clamp ones also. This really does the trick.
This Everstart battery charger and maintainer does a very good job as advertised. Its smaller than I thought it would be, but performance is as good as much larger chargers. I have two batteries for my truck, both newish. The one I keep in my toolbox I charge once a month n rotate to engine compartment, and I always have battery in toolbox. This Everstart charger has everything you need, led indicator, ring terminals and reverse polarity indicator. It's also built very sturdy and has a strong magnet to mount with. If magnet isn't your choice, it comes with mounting brackets, which is the method I will use. The Everstart battery charger also has two ways to connect too your battery, you can use conventional squeeze type clips or two ring attachments, simply remove the 2 nuts that hold clamps on your battery, put on the ring attaches, n replace nuts, no need to remove cables from battery. Everything is in the box. Its really simple to use even if you've never used a charger. Real simple directions are included. The led indicator let's u know when the job is done. This Everstart charger maintainer is just what I needed. It works with almost any 12 volt battery, also waterproof, for your boat. I highly recommend this charger.
We got this Everstart Maxx 4 Amp Waterproof 12 V Automotive & Marine Battery Charger. Let me just start off saying this very compact thing is AMAZING. It does exactly what it should. This item comes with a long 11feet cord to connect to outlet. You also have the option to use o-ring connections or alligator clamps,it comes with BOTH. it also comes with the most clear instructions possible no way to mess up, which is greatly appreciated. The awesome green LED let's you know when it's blinking it's charging and when stedy it means that your battery is fully charged. In case you put the cables backworks it has an automatic shut down so nothing will happen, meaning it's great for people whom have never used one before. It is magnetic so you can attach to you car hood or anywhere where you have metal. If that's not a option it also has pre drilled holes that you can put on any piece of wood, shop desk, etc. In my opinion this thing is awesome and I highly recommend it!
I have this battery trickle charger hooked up to my portable generator battery sitting in the garage. It has all the bells and whistles to prevent overcharging and regulate the amount of electricity flowing to the battery. Because we only use the generator maybe three times a year it has to stay plugged in most of the time and it’s important not to overheat the battery or let it die down completely. The indicator lights let me know when it’s fully charged and when it’s charging. The housing is really heavy duty and I have no concerns letting it sit in my garage.
This is a great charger. It is small enough to store when not in use. I used it first to charge the dead battery from my lawn mower. I connected it using the included battery clamps. I let it charge overnight and the light on the charger was solid green by morning, indicating it had a full charge. I re-connected the newly charged battery to my lawn tractor and it started right up. Next, as I was preparing my travel trailer for fall camping, both batteries in my camper were completely dead. I connected the first battery to the charger and it charged it overnight. I went to check on the status in the morning, expecting the light to be solid green, indicating a full charge. The light was still blinking. I thought I may have to replace the battery. But, I decided to leave it on the charger. By the evening time, it had a full charge. I put the second battery on the charger and it took a lot less time to charge that one. This isn't a fast charger. So, it is easier on the batteries. This charger is simple to use and pretty straight forward. It did a great job charging the lawn tractor batteries and the two deep cycle batteries for my travel trailer. I recommend this charger to anyone.
This charger works very well. It is water proof and comes with long leads for easy placement. I added an adaptor so that I can plug it into the power point inside the cab of my truck [ford keeps the power point powered on after the ignition is turned off] It has enough current to quickly charge and keep the float voltage at 13.2 volts.
The items (purchased 2) appear well made except for the battery clamps. Their design has insufficient recesses in the metal clamps and will not secure to standard battery posts. They repeatedly slip off. My rating would be better if the clamps were better, and only time will tell how effective their performance is.
I have purchased this exact product in the past and it worked fabulously in helping recharge the battery in our 2008 Highlander. I have replaced the battery and it helped to maintain the charge for a few years. I decided to replace the charger and maintainer. I followed the directions but the recharger stopped working after a day. That never happened with the prior one I had and used for several years. Not only did I not get one charge with the charger, I can't get it to work any longer.
