It's a Win-Win!!!

Alfredo February 2, 2026

On one of the coldest days of the year, my daughter's 2019 Jeep Renegade Latitude edition factory battery died. Of course, I researched why the battery for this car was so expensive, and it's because from the factory they install a 680cca AGM (Augmented Glass Mat) battery. I couldn't understand what was wrong with the traditional flooded lead-acid batteries of yesteryear. Some further research I found out that in today's modern cars, the manufacturers install so many electronic features such as Start/Stop, the large infotainment systems, electronically enabled parking brake, and all the modules and sensors that all talk to the ECM. I think more engineering goes into modern cars than the Saturn 5 rocket that NASA used to get us to the moon. But for the price point and the warranty, I figured, why not? It's a great Value for the money. The battery fits, no problem to install, plus it has more cold cranking amps than the OEM battery, it's a win-win!!!

I needed a good battery and I chose this one. Has a four year warranty. Works well so far. Make sure you select the correct CC's for your car. The dimensions are different as well.

I have used Everstart batteries in many cars. They perform as good as the expensive brand name batteries. The last two I purchased were the Max version, which is the higher price and quality, but still much cheaper than other store brands. I have gotten many years of service out of them.

Great battery, pricey, charge before use!

Mark August 27, 2025

Fits my 2016 Jeep Rubicon well. Starts well with plenty of power. Note: battery needs to be charged before use-yes it will start your car, but when I put it on my large Schumacher professional charger, it showed 77% charge. Took about 8 hrs to full charge. After that, performed well

Battery worked great!

Robert March 30, 2026

Fixed my battery issue I was having. This has nothing to do with the battery itself but, I didn't know that I had to get the computer for my car to be reset( Battery Management System, apparently that is a thing now) so it didn't overcharge your battery and cause it to prematurely fail. Which cost me to get done from my mechanic.

Great battery, fit perfectly in my Audi. The recycling process was not easy, the customer service rep at the store said I couldn’t return the battery there and had to call Walmart.com, which made no sense since I ordered it online and picked up at the same store. Eventually, after calling and finding a manager, I was able to recycle the battery.

The battery itself may be good, but the pickup and return process was frustrating. I received it without packaging, dusty, and without a receipt. I asked for installation and core return — the associate left and never came back. I waited and left with no help. Later I found my old battery still worked and returned to bring this one back. Despite the app clearly saying returns are allowed within 90 days if unused, I was refused. First they said “it works,” then “the barcode doesn’t match.” I never installed it, only checked the voltage. Still, the manager refused to help and didn’t offer any complaint form. I left with the battery and a very negative impression. I expected more from Walmart. A good product means little if the service around it is this confusing and unhelpful.

Having the battery delivered was very convenient. However that’s where to positives ended. Returning the core was not an easy tasks. When I took the core back to the local Walmart it took 20 minutes for the team to figure out how to refund me the $12 charged. Despite the receipt clearly stating a %2612 charge the system would not show that once the barcode was scanned on the receipt. A manager had to override the process which took about 20 minutes to find him and get to the refund. You’ll need to get the core return process fixed.

sucks

Paul June 25, 2025

I bought this online and they charged me $12.00 core fee. I done the curb pickup. I wanted to return my old battery for my core fee and the auto center told me since I did the curb pickup, I could'nt return the old battery for my core fee refund. Now I'm out $12$ plus I'm stuck with the old battery that I don't know what to do with.

the battery was great the price was good until I went to the customer service desk with my old battery for my core charge refund and the guy said i wasn't charged a core charge it was on my bill!! you can't buy a battery anywhere without a core charge! so I got frustrated with the associate and just left. I even called Walmart customer service and after speaking with three different people and getting cut off i just gave up. I have know intentions of every shopping at Walmart again!!!
