I tested 8 different varieties of bell peppers seeds from the US and Europe. They were planted in a controlled environment of a greenhouse 10" apart in rows 3' apart. Plants were pruned to 2 stems. Each stem was supported by strings from the ceiling. Don't know about the Cali' part, but my experience was that there is a reason they are called Wonder. To start with, the plants are tough, sturdy and forgiving with changes in water schedules and nutrient application. However you will need some support if you prune side shoots and suckers for lager fruits.The fruits size averaged about 4" cubes. Thick walls and very tasty both green and red. Average fruit weight was 6-8oz. Great producers constant new fruit set, with the flowering nodes a little too close that crowed the fruits a bit. Be careful that the fruits hang free or you will get deformed fruit.
