Exaco 2 in 1 Compost Bucket

This counter top compost bucket is a perfect size, unobtrusive. Well made, good seal around the lid! My husband was doubtful ("I'll bet I smell rotten banana peels!") - but no, nothing. Interior bucket with handle makes the trip out to the compost barrel a snap!

I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. I was initially appalled at how expensive it is, but the price is in line with other compost containers available online, and you don't need to purchase any of those carbon filters. The lid has a rubber rim that seals in any odors, and the removable inner bucket makes for easy transfer to the compost pile. I keep it on top of my kitchen counter with no problems. A small suggestion for the manufacturer, use a better typeface for the "COMPOST" stamped on the side of the bucket.

Love the color. Fits well on my counter. The plastic seal to the metal lid keeps the odor at bay. Functions as advertised. Looks better than the old cool whip tub we were using!

Maybe a bit pricey, but I like the easy lift-out plastic bucket. It fits perfectly inside the cute metal container. Rubber gasket inside lid allows for a snug, odor-free fit. The one gallon size is just right for me!

This product met my expectations, it looks good sitting out on the counter. I especially like the fact that the odors from food are kept within the container and it is easy to keep the inner bucket clean with a simple disinfectant wash.

I've only had this for 2 weeks, so I'm not sure about the durability. The container looks great on my counter. It hold a good amount of scraps, and so far there has been no smell coming from the food. I fill it up about every 3 to 4 days. The inner bucket cleans quite nicely. So far, I highly recommend it!

A little small, but fits on counter-top easily. convenient for daily scraps before dumping into outside composter.

This little compost pail saved my kitchen! My husband is an avid gardener, he had the compost on the counter in a plastic pal with a shower cap over it, yes UGH! So I bought this cute little pail to save my sanity and he loves it too! The little bucket with handle inside make it less messy and easy to clean. The top does have a seal on it, it doesn't seal perfectly and sometimes the top doesn't sit perfectly straight but I still love the little thing regardless.

The inner plastic bucket is too large and can't drop down to the bottom of the metal one. Because the plastic bucket sits too high, the metal lid doesn't fit right so it doesn't make a seal. The silicone rim that would make the seal fell off with the first use anyway. If you want a super cheap compost bucket with super low quality compnents that don't seal it works fine.

Other reviewers are not kidding when they state that the rubber seal does NOT stay attached. The bin looks nice, and if the seal had stayed on, it seemed airtight. However, the seal came completely off every time I lifted the lid. If Exaco would fix this issue ( and maybe have an option to not have the word "compost" on the bin) ), it would be perfect.
