so far so go

nicks47 February 16, 2013

Treadmill recently broke down and wanted to replace with a smaller piece of exercise equipment. The bike took a little over an hour to assemble. Most people should be able to complete in that amount of time. There are several adjustments for the seat height. I would probably not recommend for someone that is very wide\heavy as your legs may hit the side handle bars. When operating the bike it is very quiet, no noise at all. The display shows distantance, calories burned, time etc. I generally just like to check on how many calories burned. Also there is an adjustment with several settings to increase the tension. I leave it set up in the basement. I have not yet tried to fold it up. This is the first bike I every purchased so overall I'm happy with it, time will tell I guess.

Arrived sooner than stated at my local Walmart. The box is large but it fit into my RAV4 with the rear seats folded down. After waiting for 4 days for my hubby to put this together, I finally just did it myself in a little over an hour. All the screws, bolts, etc. are in the holes they belong to so you don't have to sift through a bag of screws, nuts, bolts, washers. Just remove the screw, bolt, etc., then attach the parts and put the screw, bolt, etc. back in and tighten. Instructions were very clear and easy to read along with the illustrations. All put together and unfolded, the bike fits nicely into a corner of my living room. The wheels don't work too well on my carpet so I just lift it and bring it to where my TV is located. I love being able to exercise while watching TV. I "rode" more than 10 miles and burned over 500 calories the very first time I used the bike (that was on the lower tension setting, however.) I have used the bike everyday and have lost 4 pounds in a week. I love this bike and would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price.

Hi, I have only had my Exerpeutic Space-Saver Semi-Recumbent Bike with Pulse for a week. So far I love it, I wanted to find a way to exercise at home without spending money to go to the gym. I have a condition that causes me to have weak muscles and I have arthritis. I love the convenience, I can ride when I feel up to it, doesn't interrupt with noise while watching TV. It gives me something to look forward to, and I hope to see results of strength and getting in better shape.

LOve, love, love it!

Surpasses my expectation. Tried some exercise bike at Sears a few years ago and all hurt my knees. Maybe I was ignorant and they were adjustable or my knees are better. Anyway, this bike is adjustable, nice large seat and I love the tall backrest of the seat. Bending over a bike with rounded back is very uncomfortable to me. Whether the gages are accurate or not, I do not know, but it is encouraging to see the miles, accumulative miles of use, speed and calories burnt. Nice to know the pulse rate also. I would kiss the creators/manufacturers and if their was a fire I would try to take this with me! I am going right now to ride. I am 62 yrs old and have had trouble with walking because of weird soreness and tightness but am already in the first week riding 30 minutes at a time and everyday. Thanks! I am grateful. p.s. the price is well worth it! If nothing else, I feel great when I finish so that I want to do it again later or the next day for sure.

Great equipment for a beginner.

friendofall1 January 16, 2014

The reviews for this exercise bike were mostly excellent which precipitated my purchasing it. The ease of assembly, the quietness, sturdiness, easy storage and design are all as explained in the excellent reviews this product received. This exercise bike could easily supplement other exercise equipment in your home if you are an avid exercise person but for me I just wanted something that I could get a little exercise on during the winter when it's too cold to walk and when I was just tired of walking the same path every day. I can watch TV or even read while pedaling. I do not exercise on a regular basis but know the value of it so this was my solution to my problem of hating to exercise. Perhaps I can lose myself in a good book while sneaking in some beneficial activity. The price is definitely right and the only reason I gave it a "good" in durability is that I just got it so I'm not sure how long it will last although I expect it will last for a long time.

Great equipment for arthritis sufferers!

Rekib47 March 30, 2014

I ordered the equipment because I used one similar for therapy after surgery. This is very easy to use and convenient to store. We were concerned at first with the packaged product because it looked all beat up when we opened the box. Did have all the parts though and it took about 30 minutes to assemble. Would recommend it also for the price.

better than expected for the price

I did a lot of research before I bought this bike. I am a 60 year old male recovering from a broken leg and can't use my treadmill yet. Use bike daily for 20 min. It seems very stable even when speed is increased. Plenty of resistance. Easy to change settings. Assembly was fairly easy. Took about an hour. Only needed help setting the seat in place. Easier with 2 people. Everything works well. Computer works ok I don't really use it except for a quick glance at time. Only problem is seat height. Being 6' I really can't fully extend legs. Not a huge concern but any taller it would be a problem and you should probably look at another product All things considered this was a good purchase. Shipping was faster than promised site to store

Close to a 5 star bike!

JeLeSm January 8, 2013

I bought this bike to build a gaming station. I liked that is did not have giant handles that would get in my way. I could slide it under my Ikea Jerker desk and peddle away while playing games on my PS3. It works great! The only problem is that after about 45 minutes the seat really start to hurt my back side. It is a bearable pain, and a reminder I should get up and go do something else. So for a short ride, 45 minutes or less, great! For the long haul, you will probably need a gel seat cover. I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Bicycle-Gel-Seat-Cover/dp/B000AO9NSG Hopefully it works.

A Great Bike For The Money

led4 November 23, 2011

This is a good home grade quality bike.I am 6'2 165 pounds and this bike fits me fine. The bike took me 10 minuets to assemble. It has 8 levels of resistance, okay for most people.I am on level 7 after 6 days of use.I will be at 8 in a few days.It is rated at 300 pounds, this does not seem accurate for a economy home bike? The Fitness bikes sold for 1,000.00 and up are rated at 300 pounds.Over all this bike is good for a person of average fitness level.

Good So Far!

Kekalek January 5, 2014

I recently got this bike for my birthday. I have had it about a week. The bike was very easy to assemble (per the husband). I really like the folding feature because I do not have a lot of space availble for storing things. Futhermore the bike is very quiet when riding, sturdy (no rocking or shaking) and is comfortable. The resitance is great, it can be increase to really difficult levels or down very low. The font on the LCD screen is very large and easy to ready while riding. The only thing I have found at this time (I havent had it for a very long) is the wheels. Make sure you put the bar with the wheel on correctly. If you don't the bike will be very difficult to move (trial and error) I think this is a good bike for exercise around the house.
