Bought this camera, with the recommendation of a moultrie customer service (was getting another cell cam repaired) when inquiring how the delta cams were. This model is made by the people who make the 6000i, 7000i cams. This is the 4th moultrie cellular game I have. I have 3 - 6000i's. Make sure to follow the directions, when setting it up, and get the unlimited package for $17.00 a month. (if used for hunting) adjust the antenna for best signal.
work great with no problems. before buying make sure there's Verizon signal in your area. were i live i have good signal. great price for a mobile trail camera. this company has other trail cameras. there plans great price. i got the Unlimited 16.99 plus tax cost 18.14. I highly recommend this trail camera.
These EXO Cellcams work flawlessly now but must be updated once connected to the cellular network. That can take 5-15 minutes. I bought two online, and both had to be returned to my local Walmart for a refund, which I used to buy two more at the store. Those initially had problems but great phone support from Moultrie resolved the problems. These are set up about two hours from my home on some remote property I bought and they work perfectly despite cell reception normally being somewhat limited, these both get great connections. Battery life is impressive (using expensive lithium batteries). Note that these only take pictures, no video. They are quite sensitive so best to set them up in your yard at home for a week or so and get familiar with them.
There are a lot of reviews from people who simply don't understand how these cameras work. The camera I have takes good photos both day and night. It connects to the server more quickly than any other Moultrie Mobile product I've used, and I've used almost all of them. It connects with the server at reliable intervals depending on how you have it set. It sends every picture that it takes (not so with Spypoint). It doesn't send video, but no other Moultrie products do except for the Delta, and you should stay FAR away from that model. This one is much better at almost half the price. One problem I see if the signal indicator on the camera. Anything less than 50% and the camera shows a red light for signal strength. Just make sure the server light is green and you'll know it connected with the server. It will still transmit pictures and update with the server at very low signal strength percentages. I am very happy with the camera. I wish I had 8 of these instead of 8 Deltas. Even if they cost what the Delta cost, I'd still give them 5 stars. At $62 it's a no-brainer.
This camera has many adjustments. So I have the sensitivity low so I'm not waisting photos of the wind. I have it set to upload ever 3 hours so I conserve battery. If I'm about to hunt I can turn it on immediately upload. These are Verizon and I have att but it works fine. Actually Verizon is better in the wilderness. My deer spot only gets 29% reception but it still works great. So your only issue is reception if your way out
These cameras are really good, talk great pictures and our sent to my phones that have the account on them immediately. Make sure that you have a new SD card that is up to 32GB with a 10 circle logo on it, older SD cards will not format properly and not work with the cameras. The app is also real good with more features on the way.
seems to work good, I have it in an area with little service and still got pictures sent to my phone. Did it get all that walked by? I'll have to check the other camera I have set up below it to see. over all happy with it so as I don't have to walk up the steep hill ever time to check the camera's sd card.
Picture quality is not terrible but my biggest problem is the signal. I know there is Verizon signal where it located but during the day on the app it shows 13% percent signal and 0% at night. I had to mess with the settings on the app because I found out it would snap at every little leaf that blew. Now I’m already at 80 photos/100 per month.
When ordering online the cellular network camera did not have a place to distinguish between Verison or ATT. Camera arrived for Verison network. We have ATT. When I returned the camera was told it was made only for Verison. This should have been made clear in the description for the cellular camera.
I have many moultire cameras and thought these would be just as good since they are made by moultrie and use the same ap. They are horrible. I bought two of them. One of them would not power up at all and the other would never get a signal, even though my Verizon cell phone was working just fine in the same spot.
