Expert Gardener Metal Male Hose Mender

The picture is a bit different than what I received. But, even without instructions, it was fairly straight forward. Had to remove the old male end of the hose (there was dry cracking around it), put this device in, and fasten down the included hose clamp. It isn't the prettiest, but it works and only took a few minutes.

My neighbor put this on my hose for me. I don't think he had trouble attaching it. It shouldn't come apart later as it is all metal.

Works perfect for a quick and effective repair on a hose. Easy to install. All this requires is a standard flat-head screwdriver to ensure it's tightened well to make a good connection to hold in place and prevent leakage. The Expert Gardner bunch know just how to help out. Sure makes gardening easier and less hassles.

My hose repair was delivered without the hose tightening clip. Fortunately, I have some here or it would be rendered useless. Otherwise, the item is perfect and does the trick!

I had water leaking out around the hose. I actually had a bigger problem with water leaking around the hose using the mender than I did without it. I was very careful with cutting the hose straight, and tightening the clamp as instructed, but it was not a good fit.

Will work to just let water come out but will not hold water once you connect anything to it. I connected an ortho sprayer to it and while using it started to leak and shoot water everywhere. I just hope it was just water and not chemical mixed with water that I got on my face due to this useless item!

seals to the hose just fine, but is so poorly threaded that,even with teflon tape and a double washer, won't seal with any spray nozzle without spewing water everywhere. Garbage!
