Expert Gardener 8.3" Adjustable Bypass Pruners

Excellent value, excellent clippers. I upkeep three large yards with hundreds of shrubs, perennials, and trees. With all that work I've bought, worn out, lost, run over more clippers in a couple of years than some folks will in a lifetime. These clippers are now my go-to. They outlast, out-wear the expensive clippers, and are usually available across seasons, not just in the summer. Thanks Walmart for making these available for purchase.

I really like these pruners because they're easy to hold and they have an adjustment so it can be wider for bigger branches. I actually just use them for the first time the other day to come back a bush that was definitely getting overgrown and it cut through all the branches fine. They definitely are not for big branches so if you try to use them on bigger around branches it might make the blades get uneven and not work. What you see in the picture is exactly what you receive. They have a lock button, a button for the adjustment, and the blades are very easy to clean I would put just a little WD-40 on them to keep them from resting and stay sharper. Definitely something I would buy again. It's a good pair of pruners for shaping up your bushes and plants.

Being an avid gardener, I have used pruning shears for many years. There are several features on this pruner that make it superior to others I've used. Firstly, the pruner has a very comfortable gripping mechanism so I don't have to worry about the pruner slipping out of my hand. Additionally, the handle is slightly longer than an average-sized pruner so this enables a more sturdy grip. Secondly, the inner yellow push button allows me to either widen or narrow the blades, enabling me to achieve a more precise cut. I've not seen this feature on other pruners I've used. Finally, the blades are very durable, well-made and slightly longer than standard garden pruners so I am able to prune a wide variety of garden items including thin to medium-sized tree branches, flowers and plants. To lock the pruner, simply push the outer yellow button upwards. To unlock, just push the button downwards. This pruner will very likely last for many years to come and is now my go-to pruner for all of my gardening needs.

Much better than I expected, I wanted to get some cuttings this fall but knowing I would rarely need it I went with the most reasonable cost one I could fine. I did not expect much but this has been used for a few weeks on cuttings to start trees over winter and it is as sharp as the day I got it. Very happy with everything about it and it has a latch to keep it closed when not in use. Nice comfortable grip as well, I have no complaints and would recommend it to anyone.

I received the Expert Gardener Soft Grip clippers last week and even though its December we still have plants or brushes that need to be cut back. I used them to cut back our Cape Myrtles which are a soft wood. These worked very well on the smaller branches and by smaller, I mean the really little ones up to ½ inch. When I tried on anything larger, I had to use both hands but I think that is just me not having much strength. When my husband used them he could use them on branches up to a ¾ inch. These cut thru everything with a clean cut and the blades were very sharp so they cut with much less effort than our older clippers that apparently, we will now be giving up. The handles are made of a softer plastic but study and very comfortable to use. After several hours of using my husband’s hands did not hurt. I think this is remarkable. These have a lock on them for safety which is a really good idea. It also has, a switch that allows the cutting part to open further or keep it on the small side. I could easily recommend these to family and friends.

Nice sharp pruner right out of the package. Adjustable switch allows for two different size cuts. Soft grip handles are comfortable and have texture.for a no slip grip. I have trimmed house plants and outdoor flowers to the ground. I have also pruned smaller apple tree branches with ease. True 3/4" maximum cut as claimed on package. Not a heavy duty pruner, don't even try. Also has a slot at end of one of the handles for hanging.(strap not included). I use this type of pruner all year long, and having a good second pair is a huge plus! Would recommend to anyone looking for a small, hand pruner. Made in Vietnam.

The Expert Gardener Soft Grip Adjustable Pruner has a 3/4 Cutting Capacity and is better then I expected it to be! First thing I noticed was this is made lightweight which made it very easy for to hold for hours without my hands getting tired, and also I had no problems cutting or trimming with one hand and was able to switch to either hand without any inconvenience. I must say these are the most comfortable easy to hold pruners that have a rubber like material that allows them not to slip out of my hand. They are made with durable steel blades that are very sharp and strong enough to cut through thick branches. Also can be adjusted very easily by sliding the side arrow up or down to the right preference I need when trimming thick or small branches. The bright yellow allows me to easily find or spot them when working in my yard. All and all I am very satisfied with the functionality, quality and make of this product.

This Soft Grip Adjustable Pruner by Formosa Tools, with a 3/4 inch cutting capacity. will be perfect this spring when I am pruning-to-shape my three Photinias, which I have trained as little trees. The grip is VERY comfortable and it really does handle up to a 3/4 inch branch with ease! Mid-December here in the Sierra Foothills is not the time to prune, but I know this will do a splendid job shaping my photinias come spring!

these are so amazing. i have 2 other kinds that keep having the lock button engage. i have very small hands and it's hard to cut big branches on my bushes. this does it with such ease. it's a real winner

I recently got these pruners, to use on my rose bushes, and the assorted shrubs and plants in my yard. I havent been able to give them a good workout yet, since its late December. But I think they will do the job. First, i will say what i like about them. Being bright yellow..they will be easier to locate. I am always laying my pruners down, then spend twenty minutes wandering around my yard looking for them! They have "soft grip" handles, so will be more comfortable to use. I like that they lock, for safetys sake. The blade is sharp, and cuts easily. I used them to prune my Meyer lemon tree and they cut nicely, didnt crush the delicate branches. On the minus side..theyre big. And heavy. If you have large, strong hands, these are the pruners for you. I have small hands, a little arthritic..so these wont be my favorite pruners. Perfect for my husband tho. Also, theres a yellow button that slides in 2 directions. There are tiny imprints showing a right hand and a left hand. I have no idea what this is for, as i dont see any change depending on which way i slide it! No mention of it on the packaging.
