A fast paced and crazy game that puts your metal and coordination to the test. The kids had a great time running around and like maniacs trying to do all the actions before catching the cat! Definitely a great game when you have lots of space (and headroom). Perfect for the park, camping, or playing in the yard. Adults beware, drinking makes this game harder! But still fun and enjoyable nonetheless. A bonus is how fun and cute the cats look. They fit great on the desk or shelf as a decoration and at hand stress reliever.
My wife and I loved the idea of this game, because there aren't a whole lot of party games that can be played by only two players. The game was super easy to understand, and seemed pretty simple at first "just clap your hands".... fast forward about 10 minutes and we're laughing because each of us is trying to do 4-5 different things and jumping and flopping around. The biggest thing we found was... there's nothing in the rules that technically stops you from being able to go outside to throw the cat 10+feet in the air... shhhhhhhhh ;) We also loved the designs of the squishy cats and they were sooooo soft.
Fantastic game for a silly time with friends and family! The laughs and the talent keep on rolling as this game progresses, and keeps you on your toes as you challenge yourself and competitors to take it to the next level. Witty, hilarious, acrobatic and a downright blast of a game. Cannot wait to get my paws on all the catchables!
First of all, I love the CATchable characters! The self-care one is the mot relatable to me and is therefore my favorite, but the black hole cat is a close second! For the game itself, I like the packaging! They include ziploc baggies for each character so you can keep them separate after playing which is a nice touch! I would like to see the pocket the cards are kept in a little deeper to account for the size of the unfolded baggies, it was hard to put the box back together after we were done playing due to the baggies sticking up further than the molded plastic could handleAs for the gameplay itself, it's really fun! The challenges are difficult but achievable, and the rules are easy to pick up and run with in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend this game to any group who likes to play active games!
As always the artwork was fun and the concept something new an original. It took a little bit to get the rules down - your video QR code did not work which we assume was because this was pre-release.We were playing indoors but even with a 10ft ceiling it was sometimes hard to do with the headroom available, so we made a rule that people could optionally move to the backyard. Once things got going though we pretty soon found ourselves laughing uproariously. My son had a task that involved closing one eye and, every time he did that, my wife would immediately burst out laughing, he would then also start and he couldn't continue. It was possible to do the tasks indoors if the right tasks were available, but outdoors might be better.Great game and something that will help people develop, or keep, coordination. Can't help feeling like there should be a version that involves taking a drink whenever you fail :)
CATchables Is a very fun and also a little challenging game. I had players age 7+ And as we added cards with challenges, Players had to get creative to complete each of their challenges with their CATchable up in the air! I can't wait to be able to collect all 12 and try expanding the game with more players.
This game is incredibly silly, having you catch small squishy cats while doing tasks, such as standing on one foot, wiggling your butt, or narrating your turn. It's a fairly quick play if you're playing with an end in sight, but we kept playing even after there was a winner to see how crazy we could get. The CATchables themselves are really nice (think the burritos from Throw Throw Burrito, only rounder and sillier. ) In fact, my one-year-old decided the CATchables are hers, and getting them back has proven to be a challenge. They're soft and squishy and colorful, aka everything she wants. Make sure you have a lot of space while playing this. We had to move outside due to the small size of our living room and our terrible hand/eye coordination. Overall, a really good outside party game that'll get the whole group on their feet and laughing.
Throw and catch...It's simple, just like the game of baseball, lol....Throw a catchable in the air and perform an action while it's up there and then catch it. Sure anyone can do it but can you do it with style and grace. Such a great game with a group, date night, or whatever.
They've upped the crazy factor with this one! You have to perform seemingly easy tasks while catching a squishy cat. Seems ok until you're standing one one foot ,throwing a CATchable between your legs, pointing at another player and wiggling your butt. And you can make another players life agony by adding a more difficult (ie. tap your knee) task to the list of tasks. Can't wait to try this one with some adult refreshments added to the mix
As a sucker for collections and a long time fan of Exploding Kittens, I really enjoy this new game. There's a good mix of simple and complex challenges to keep games interesting yet easy to pick up. For a two person game, it took us about 10 minutes so its perfect as a quick time killer. I'm looking forward to getting new expansions so I can try new card combinations with more players. Definitely a great start to a new series from Exploding Kittens.
