Exploding Kittens: Catchables 2-Pack #3 (Caterina & Catastrophe)

Another simple, quick game from Exploding Kittens that's easy to learn and fun to play. This one involves a (small) bit of athleticism since you have to toss/catch little squishy toys while multitasking other simple, silly tasks (e.g., spelling a word, tapping your head, etc.), but it's a fun play that I'm sure kids would also enjoy. Each character has unique cards, which improves replayability, and the tasks are creative but reasonable. Overall, quite fun and easy to learn. Recommend!

This is a well designed game for all ages. The "balls" are Exploding Kittens, and they are really cute! Eggs and Bakey was our favorite. They are perfectly sized and the perfect texture for throwing and catching. My kids are older, so it wasn't too hard for them to get the required number of activities completed. It would be more challenging for a younger child, but EK has set the rules so it's pretty easy to get to a good set of activities so everyone can win. Highly recommended!

First of all, I love the CATchable characters! The self-care one is the mot relatable to me and is therefore my favorite, but the black hole cat is a close second!For the game itself, I like the packaging! They include ziploc baggies for each character so you can keep them separate after playing which is a nice touch! I would like to see the pocket the cards are kept in a little deeper to account for the size of the unfolded baggies, it was hard to put the box back together after we were done playing due to the baggies sticking up further than the molded plastic could handleAs for the gameplay itself, it's really fun! The challenges are difficult but achievable, and the rules are easy to pick up and run with in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend this game to any group who likes to play active games!

My kids absolutely love this game and all the silly things they get to do while playing, but make sure you have room because it can get crazy 😆. It also takes some coordination, and dad didn't enjoy the game as much because he lacks that coordination!

Played this with kids ranging from ages 9 to 14 and they had a blast! They loved choosing their cat and finding which cards were exclusive to each one. The only downside was that it was easier for the older kids and the 9 year old struggled to keep up. But, they still had a ton of fun trying to complete all their actions mid toss and all the kids can’t wait to add new cats to the game!

This game is incredibly silly, having you catch small squishy cats while doing tasks, such as standing on one foot, wiggling your butt, or narrating your turn. It's a fairly quick play if you're playing with an end in sight, but we kept playing even after there was a winner to see how crazy we could get. The CATchables themselves are really nice (think the burritos from Throw Throw Burrito, only rounder and sillier. ) In fact, my one-year-old decided the CATchables are hers, and getting them back has proven to be a challenge. They're soft and squishy and colorful, aka everything she wants. Make sure you have a lot of space while playing this. We had to move outside due to the small size of our living room and our terrible hand/eye coordination. Overall, a really good outside party game that'll get the whole group on their feet and laughing.

My wife and I loved the idea of this game, because there aren't a whole lot of party games that can be played by only two players. The game was super easy to understand, and seemed pretty simple at first "just clap your hands".... fast forward about 10 minutes and we're laughing because each of us is trying to do 4-5 different things and jumping and flopping around. The biggest thing we found was... there's nothing in the rules that technically stops you from being able to go outside to throw the cat 10+feet in the air... shhhhhhhhh ;) We also loved the designs of the squishy cats and they were sooooo soft.

Rub your belly and pat your head at the same time? Can you do it while standing on one foot? Can you do all that while also complimenting another player? And while trying to throw a cat in the air and catch it?This quick game of will get you whacky by waving and flailing your arms and blowing kisses at your competitors. It's really fun to try to complete all the required actions while also playing catch with yourself.

Catchables is a fun simple dexterity game that becomes a lot more tense as the game progresses. It has many cards that vary in how much they complicate the process of catching one of the catchables that makes choosing who has to deal with these challenges interesting. my only problem is that the game doesn't work that well with 2 players but besides from that this is a great game.

I did not personally play this game, but gave it to 4 teens (aged 17 and 18) to play outside. They gave it a full run through that I watched some of. This review is based on their feedback.They liked the game. It is a good outside activity for 4 people, and you have to do a bunch of silly things with the CATchables - catching them while wiggling, or shimmying, or putting on a funny voice. They found the game easy to pick up, and easy to play. They all said that they laughed while playing, which is what I saw too.Their main criticisms were that the game itself was pretty much the same all the way through. There was no progression, and it was really a lot of doing the same, albeit quite silly, things over and again. It was also, for them, too easy to finish the game quickly, although once someone "won", they carried on playing anyway!They also wanted the box to be a little more substantial, and didn't like the open face of it too much. They did like the actual CATchables themselves, and they all felt the game was well designed. They all agreed that they would play it again, and it seems like a good option to keep in the toy chest, especially if you can play outside.Finally, the majority view was to give the game 3.5 stars, which wasn't an option here. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because that's the direction that the one differing view went. I should add that they have played plenty of Exploding Kittens games that they have loved, and this maybe went in a direction that they weren't expecting, thus the score.
