External DVD Drive Player for Laptop Portable Optical CD DVD Drive Burner Reader for Desktop PC Windows

the outside isnt fully connected to the inside so it just hangs. 😒 it works but i have to be extra careful with it. honestly not worth the money since its clearly broken even if it works...

Biggest piece of crap I ever bought. The first time opening the disk tray, the front plate falls off. Real flimsy feeling in hands; it feels as cheap as it is. Both my MacBook and PC found it, but that was about it. It spun the disk a couple of times and just stopped working. I have software that sees what's in the DVD drive, and it reads back "no disk" when the disk is inside. I hear the laser moving, but the disk would not spin anymore. Save yourself some hassle and buy a better, more expansive one as I did, and don't mess with the cheap ones. You'll be glad you did; I sure am now.

As much as I don't want to say it, this player does not work correctly. I don't think it was the DVDs I was using. It kept skipping parts, and closing by itself at random times. I tried multiple discs, and while it did work most of the time, some parts of the show I was watching kept being skipped over. The DVDs of the show itself worked on a regular DVD player with no issues. I don't want to return it, but I may have to.

cord is way to short not very well made quality control sub-standard all the usb ports are missed aligned - had to tweak on placement for them to get them usable -sorry cheap enough but still I would NOT buy again .

It took me a few days to try this item out as I have been busy, but I can tell you in my experience that it DOES NOT WORK WITH LINUX, and it DID NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 11 either. It powers on, that's about it, even the usb ports don't work, and honestly looking at it it doesn't have the TF card ports and all the ports I was supposed to get. Sure I could try and send it back, but there is a reason I purchased it online and that is because "I am unable to go to Walmart", meaning I can't return it, and I have no means of printing a postage stamp either from Walmart customer support. I guess I will just chalk this one up as a loss, because it just doesn't work at all. Not working on Linux is one thing, but not working on Windows 11 is quite another thing because it installs the drivers for it automatically. All that being said, it's cheap for a reason, it's junk in my opinion. Powers on, doesn't do nothing and the ports are not as advertised. I would suggest nobody buy this crap.

It worked as promised. I am not happy with the fact that computers do not come with CD drives anymore. They only have USB ports. I am not always happy with this arrangement and the ports are always on the back of the computer. They are hard to get at and inconvenient.

Doesn't have full range of DVD support as it claims. Just another run of the mill DVD with annoying blue like on the top to distract from it not working.

It is plug and play no software setup required. To get the best cdw deal do google search and find the best deal. Usually walmart will win out.

made 2 laptops screens go dark and couldn't get them back on. I didn't think it was the drive until the same thing happened to another one.

bought 2 . 1 worked. the other worked but would not finalize the DVD. will not buy again. I don't think when I buy I should wager on if it works or not
