These are wonderful! I live near water, and rats are a problem off and on. These traps take care of them superbly! They are always dead, and I just use gloves, dispose of them, and re-set them for the next monster. Bird seed is the very best bait, they will do anything to reach my bird feeders, so I learned that lesson, quickly. Just set them AWAY from your bird feeders, because I have caught a few birds, sadly, even though their feeder was full.

These are excellent traps. We had a chipmunk problem and tried pellets, month balls, etc. and nothing worked. These worked great. Just a tip- the little cup where the bait goes is easily accessible from the bottom of the trap. It just twists out. We didn't see that right away and tried putting the bait in from the top side at first.

We have a severe infestation of chipmunks under our front patio. The first time we set them it took several days before we caught one. Its been almost two weeks and have caught 8. Until yesterday had only been setting two at a time close to an exit hole. I would call this method as steady. Not an immediate fix but it has taken years for the colony to grow to this size. We are very satisfied with these traps because the are easy to use - easy to empty - powerful - effective. I have been using a dab of crunchy peanut butter and a few sunflower seeds (bird food SF seeds) as bait. We definitely recommend this product. NOTE - easy to set but use with care; trap is powerful and could injure your fingers.

100% satisfied with these rat traps. they're heavy duty eventhough they are made out of plastic. We live in a heavily wooded area with an abandoned house near by and during the colder months rats try to live in our shed and the crawl space of our house, so I bought a few products to help get rid of them. This trap is hands down my top choice. every single trap that has gone off has caught a rat, small and big ones. The fact that you can keep reusing the traps is a huge bonus as well.

I did not like that when I set the trap for Chipmunks which I caught, the back of the trap is exposed and for some reason an animal would chew the back leaver off making the trap useless. I lost many traps this way and I do not know how to stop it. When you use the trap outside like I do, make sure you have it screwed securely on a piece of wood with a heavy on the platform. The traps bought in a 6 pack are not as strong in plastic as if you bought them separately. You get what you pay for. I did trap around 25 chipmunks over a month of trapping.

These were advertised as "never have your bait stolen again!" I set 2 traps - used peanut butter twice and nuts once - bait stolen each time without trap snapping. Now I am trying alfalfa pellets. So far, no rats and no traps snapping!

One broken trap out of 6 when I received it. I had already opened and put pb on the first ones so I assume I can't return just one easily Poor shipping packaging causing it to break in packaging

The trap is easy to set up but failed to catch the rat. I don't think the spring is strong enough to kill a rat and the "teeth" are rounded so the rat set off the trap but was not caught. All it did was feed the rat some peanut butter.
