will not work with self-sealing valve cans

MrP June 22, 2019

use this product for years, work great. Walmart now switch to the self-sealing valve for their 134a product. THIS DOESN'T Work with self-sealing valve cans.

Fast if you have some auto knowlege

eddieo2 July 3, 2011

Make sure a/c sysyem is not losing refrigerant BEFORE use. Examine a/c hoses for oily look at crimp connectors and or joints, if you see oily residue DO NOT USE, take to auto shop. If everythings ok this product is fast and easy. Read instuctions well. Do not exceed the manufactures refrigerant charge- usually 2 to 3 cans but not more than 3 cans for most common cars and trucks with system empty. Remember to watch the dial, it may already have some RF in it, when it's blu your through. Works great for me.

This cost $17 at the WalMart in White Plains, NY

whiteplainswalmartshopper June 9, 2013

I discovered this on Walmart online but they won't show me the prices for items like this in store which is really annoying. It cost $17 at Walmart in White Plains, NY. It does not include Freon/r134a. When you look at the product picture it looks like it comes with a small bottle of r134a but it doesn't. You can get a bottle for $10 at walmart. That is the standard r134a price for 12 oz. Or you can get the $15 bottle that has the oil and sealer additives to preserve the life of your AC system. Also at Walmart. Anyway good luck.

Worked great! But...

FrequentShopper August 7, 2018

Worked great! Hose could be longer, but it worked fine for me. The only problem I had was the refrigerant 134a can. If you look really hard at the sticker on the blue trigger handle, it reads “for use with standard cans”. To be clear, the standard can they mention is the can where if the seal is punctured, that is that. You either have to use the whole can, or leave the hose on and hope it doesn't leak. That being said, they are now making the standard can with a stop valve so that it is able to be reused and not wasted. Look at the cans carefully, if it has a stop valve, then it doesn't work with this product. I learned this the hard way. On a positive note, when I found the right can (not at Walmart, unfortunately) it took seconds to make my air conditioner blast cold air.

Functional, but yet ...

relentlesstech July 6, 2015

The hose would be better if it was another 12-14" long

Incomplete

b4neone June 2, 2018

I'm sure it may be a fine product. But it does not include the can of refrigerant, as the headline indicates. "EZ Chill Auto Air Conditioning Refrigerant 134a"

Cheaper Options Out There

Obe February 15, 2019

Works as advertised. Just know that it FITS ONLY RESEALABLE CANISTERS! WILL NOT PIERCE CANS! You will also need a adapter for use with resealable cans. Might want check out other options here at Walmart.

2 out of 2 leaked freon

nwaves August 8, 2017

Bought this hose along with a can of freon. Used about 2-3 oz. to fill up the system in one car, but the can was still heavy and had about 3/4 of freon left in it. Left it in the basement until I had time to work on the other car. A week later the can was empty. It was clear that the hose had a leak so I went to Walmart and returned the hose and got another one as well as one can of freon. Got home, filled the system with about 4 oz. put the hose and can on the passenger seat and went for a test drive. While driving, I hear a faint noise coming from the passenger side. I Iook to the right and see the can on the passenger seat and realize the new hose is leaking and that's where the noise is coming from. Got home and left the hose and can outside to leak out, as I wasn't going to bring it in the house again. So now I'm out 2 cans of Arctic Freeze, when I could have used one and still have about 1/3 left in it. My advice: don't buy this hose. Either buy the $7 metal valve that connects to a complete low and high gauge system or buy a freon can that comes already fitted with hose and gauge but don't plan on reusing that once empty.
