Worked perfectly. Install was easy and I have no leaks. Shippingpass worked awesome I received this part in two days vs 1 week or more at other places.
worked great for getting old freezer running.
This is a great quality piercing valve. Ive done air conditioning repair for over 20 years and this is one of the best refrigerant line piercing valves on the market in my opinion. This particular model Supco BPV31 will fit 1/4 , 5/16 , and 3/8 size tubing. Ive found them to be excellent quality. Ive never had one to leak. They are also at a very low cost through Walmart.
I bought this to pierce the suction line on my fridge so I could add R134A myself. Works great! If you're doing the same...you will need a R12 to R134a conversion kit too so you can connect the piercing valve to the hoses that come with the Freon. Those are alittle harder to get ahold of. No one had them. Finally found one at a auto parts store. Worked like a charm and I saved a crap ton of money! My local guy wanted $150 to come check my fridges freon level and add if needed. I did it myself and it only cost like $35. I'm a 30 something year old woman with no experiance. If I can do it, you can too. Good luck...oh and buy it! lol.
The part was perfect for a job I do
The item saved me hundreds of dollars in private contractor costs and enabled me to do it myself. This item should be kept on-hand in local stores to speed up the process of recharging your appliances.
The price was very reasonable and shipping was very quick. It arrived before I expected it.
worked just as I expected it to.
What you need to put refrigerant into your refrigerator, an easy job and inexpensive.
