Faraon Black Beans, 4 lbs

I tried these as I never ate black beans before. I threw them in the pressure cooker and in a matter of minutes, had a big bowl fulll they didn't blow out, tender and wonderful flavor, I tasted a little hint of nature's sweetness in these. The beans seemed rather fresh, Faraon is a good brand; they cooked up well uniformed and tender. The beauty of these beans is that they are so versatile. I had a bowl chilled and put some canned tomatoes, diced onion, garlic, parsley, a little lemon and olive oil, and stuffed them into some pita instead of re-heating. Great flavor.

I read a note that these Faraon Black Beans are Non-GMO verified. I am not contesting that and am happy that is the case. Black beans with rice is a staple for much of the world and this rice and beans combination work very well for us. The price is very good vs. other sources and delivery is very good.

Great price for high quality product. The beans are well-shaped with very few broken beans or pieces of debris (like I've gotten in some other brands). Very very pleased with taste and have already ordered more!

Ya can't make black-bean burgers without Black Beans. (Yet)

Have not tried this brand of beans yet. Will be making vegeburgers with the Faraon black beans.

The bag was beat up and busted open. I have never seen beans broken from abuse in a bag. They looked old and nasty. There was no expiration date on the package, but I suspect it was past expiration. Nasty.. I don't know if it was Walmart processing or the factory where they came from, but I have beet trying to return them and Walmart's site is "down for maintenance"..... DON"T BUY THESE BEANS....
